Rangnick asked for a CDM in January & didn't get one, ultimately that cost Utd top 4. Ralf is a German legend. If you follow the Bundesliga, this man is up there with the best of the best.
He built Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig. And last time when Schalke was close to fighting for the title, he was the manager.
Red Bull Leipzig is built on intense pressing and quick transitions. But none of the United players really fit into that system.
I knew from day 1 he will fail at United. He cannot fix it unless he let half the squad go but the board won’t allow that “oh Pogba sells shirts. CR7 sells shirts.”
He mentioned those 6-7 players because he signed them and perhaps he scouted them too. He was the director of football at RB Leipzig, manager/director of football at Hoffenheim. He knows what he is talking about.
If you give him total control of the football operations, he can rebuild United. But too bad, it doesn’t work that way at United.
He will go back to Germany and perhaps help Schalke or Stuttgart get back on top.

Liverpool is the strongest team right now besides Manchester City in my opinion
it's a fact, liverpool is a team built for 6 or 7 years, no wonder they are a strong team now.
and I as a Manchester United fan hope that MU will be like that.. a strong team that was born because of the process, not just a team that relies on expensive players and hopes for a year to win..

But the individual players got so good that Liverpool recognized them because of the work of Rangnick and Southamptom and many other involved parties. So without their work, Liverpool couldn't profit from these specific players. But that counts for every player that is bought. It is just really interesting in this case that Rangnick has a connection to so many Liverpool players. Liverpool does like to buy players from Rb Salzburg and Leipzig.
Sure Rangnick is not a big name in the UK. You shouldn't credit him with Liverpool's success. More like his own success. He succeded in finding these players and helped improving them so much that players like Keita got sold for 50 Million which is money that helped Leipzig to be a consistent top team in the Bundesliga. The way Liverpool and Man C outplayed them and they just took it without a fight shows how far behind they are. As long as they don't accept that they are nothing special anymore, they won't break the downward spiral. Who can possibly manage a team that don't want to put up a fight? Hoffenheim was pretty good in their scale and bugdet. He created all redbull teams' identity which are pretty good. Don't act like Pep or Klopp made teams that were zero to UCL winners and stuff. Leipzig won every league until they arrived bundesliga and they are pretty successful in there. Salzburg became Bayern Munich of Austrian football. That's his creation. He created those teams from nothing. That could be what United needs because they won't reach to Liverpool City or even Chelsea's level with this management and mentality. They need to create a culture, an identity for this club and he's good at creating it. Winning from the start is impossible for United even if they will bring Pep or Klopp or any another manager because they lost their identity after Ferguson left. Giving at least 5 years to him could be the best decision United can make because otherwise, i can't see United will reach to top one of the team of Europe ever again.
