Always amazing to see how many people know anything about flooding an engine and hydraulic lock.... I think if you drive a car, you should know some basics...
For some it’s a harsh expensive lesson, but one they will remember and one that we get to watch them learn 😆 Thanks for posting and subscribing it genuinely makes a difference 😎
Yep, lots of water damaged goods in that van. So on top of buggering the van there’s gonna be a lot of angry customers! Why take the risk, just accept that taking the long way round is gonna take an extra half an hour!
The grey van was hilarious!!! Pulls up sooo slow and the HITS it soo hard!! Slow and steady with a nice small wake in front to keep the water from going in,,,,, but no,,,, wham!!! Hahaha.
The driver had no idea how much damage he had done. He was still there waiting for a mate to rescue him when we left at dark. Thanks for posting and subscribing - it really makes a difference 😊
My thought was of that driver thinking “I’ll soak the people on the bridge” then ploughs in, damages the front of the van probably floods the engine. Now he’ll get soaked getting out of the van 😂😂😂 Ah, karma.
8:35 - I am puzzled by the wise cautious approach and the then sudden, very ill-advised, acceleration into the water. A lot of my fellow CZcams viewers slag-off BMW and Audi drivers but many Vauxhall drivers run them a damned close second.
Brace yourself for this one…… The driver stopped to turn up his stereo with his selected track playing. Presumably he was expecting glory and adulation from the crowd 😆 Instead he wrecked his bosses van after working there only 2 weeks 🤦♂️
That sound like a typical land-rover here, at least that one actually gets to go through a ford. We call em Toorak tractors, on account of the suburb here of the same name with a lot of rich owners who never go off road in em.
The density and incompressibility of water are such that driving into it at speed is akin to hitting a brick wall, just ask anyone who has done a belly-flop from a high diving board.

You can't be too fast or too slow. But the best solution is to find another way round the ford, it only takes a few miles more!
With a detour you also avoid expensive engine damage and keep your vehicle running 👍
