Bill Wharton, The Sauce Boss - Camping With The Blues - 20211016

Certainly the highlight of any festival, and Camping With The Blues 2021 was no exception, is Bill Wharton, The Sauce Boss. Bill's one man show is a mix of grunge blues and rock done in his unique style. Much of Bill's set is originals, such as 'Let The Big Dog Eat' (covered, and made a hit by Albert Castiglia) but when he does covers, he makes them his own. Watching and listening to Bill hammer away on his vintage 1933 National Steel guitar is a joy to behold. Those familiar with the Sauce Boss know that during each show, as the show progresses, Bill creates a steaming pot of gumbo to share with the fans post show. During today's show Bill was assisted in preparing the gumbo by his wife and road manager Ruthie Wharton, and by Camping With The Blues festival promoter, Paul Benjamin.
