Girls you are really fun to watch and listen to as a duo. I never watch podcasts like this but yours caught my attention especially since I feel like you put effort into discussing different subjects so kee it up! One fact check though on the comment about Christians not circumcising. They actually do. I don’t know obviously your boyfriends or what their exact background is but especially Orthodox Christians and especially from around the middle east. Circumcision is even mandatory since it is something that Jezus also did when he was a baby.

Idk if the laws are different in the UK but in the Netherlands you can have two surnames. She can put her husband's surname before her own surname (surname 1-surname 2). So when she doesn't want to use his, leave out his name. But your passport will state both names 🤷♀

My wife didn’t change it. But she didn’t care if she did though. I don’t see how this is something you should be passionate about. It indicates other things not so favorable about you. Also, 9 out of 10 guys, regardless of you taking the surname or not, will want the kids to have only his surname.
If you don't understand why it's a big deal then you're slow, or just willfully ignorant. The wife always took the husband's last name because they were the husband's possession up until the late 19th-century. Having the choice to keep your surname is a big deal. It went from being mandatory to being an old, outdated tradition.

But, our kids will have my surname and my surname alone. If you truly believe in what you’re saying, legally change your surname and hyphenate it with your mother’s maiden name. I feel like cows licks stance on the name of your first son is a little to intense. It’s not based on you just not liking the name but how it translates in your language so he should at least be a little more open to a different name. I’m sure there’s other traditional names in his culture that also doesn’t translate to something offensive in Iranian.
Just my thoughts on the whole last name thing. Mandi was hung up on the fact that if a man would leave because you did not taking his last name it means he doesn't really love you. But what if for him it meant he now thinks you don't love him enough to take his last name and for him that's his dealbreaker? It would mean him and all your kids have the same name but you would not. It's a two way street sometimes. But i know how Mandi loves her Double Standards lol

there is female genital mutilation that has huge physical psychological social impact on women. it is compared to less intrusive but still men genital mutilation that is circumcision, so i am just trying to say that circumcision should also be looked in that light as female genital mutilation which is absolutely horrible. please do read about it. in general, i dont get why people touch anyone's private parts no matter the age, it feels so inappropriate, and most importantly both kind of mutilations do have negative physical and psychological effects.
