Death is the Only Way to Live, whenever I say that to people at work, they think that I am quoting some death metal band and when they ask me who it is, with a big smile I proudly say BABYMETAL, at the Budokan it was used kinda like a prelude to the death or the end of the "Metal Resistance" era, but at Pia arena it actually was the death of the old BABYMETAL and it was followed by IDZ at both Budokan and Pia arena, I think having IDZ follow it served a purpose, at Budokan it kinda symbolized don't bully us for changing a classic and at Pia was like hey don't bully the new girl. or don't bully us for killing old BABYMETAL..lol
That's a weird compilation video. Visuals are from Budokan 2021 and PIA Arena 2023. It was used in a very different way each time. Without an official third member, the OG version had no sense. So, they opened four of the Budokan shows with this version, after not performing the song since Legend S (Dec 2017). The PIA Arena MM (Black Night) performance was another story. They integrated it with the lore, as a sort of encore. It was the prelude of what was about to happen after the next and final song ("IDZ"). The next day (Clear Night), they performed the OG version again. And it's all fine since then. 😁
I actually really like the shin (short) version. Just wish it was…longer, lol. They made this to replace the traditional version for the in-between time of Yui/Momo. So, we’ll probably never hear this version again, now that Momo is official. This video is a compilation of Budokan 2021 show opener and Babymetal Begins Black Night’s encore intro (Apr 1st 2023). 🤘🦊
Definitely not a cult😏 The Budokan 2021 and the PIA Arena 2023 performances had their differences of course - different circumstances etc. Here you got the opening lore from 2023, but from there on there was a mix of the two, so it did make it harder if you were going to make any sense of the staging and lighting etc.

When this happened at Black Night, I was blown away. Didn't expect to see this version live. It was like an assault on the sense.
