What gets me is that some of those tanks have nothing in them. No mud, no vegetation. Nothing that mimics the natural habitat of the fish. They're just forced to swim or float around in a tiny glass box. At least a lot of the aquariums here in the U.S. have the decency to try and recreate the conditions the fish live in.

We have a responsibility to this planet to protect the plants and animals that sustain our existence. It doesn't matter if it's just a fish and it doesn't have the same sense if awareness as us. It's the principle of it. It's deliberately inhumane. If you can't recreate the fish's natural habitat and way of life, don't bother opening an aquarium. Let them stay in the wild where they belong.

@@CadetLucidsuhh yeah it totally kinda is, confining any creature to captivity that is far smaller in size than its requirements is undoubtedly animal abuse, on top of that sharks use ram ventilation (continuously swimming to breathe) so restricting their space and the way they swim dramatically impacts their health. Oh yeah and the black tip reef shark does grow considerably larger than 3ft, anywhere from 5.2ft to 6.6ft, although that is of course in the wild.
He banged on the glass to gather the fish in one place to give them all food. If you ever had a fish tank in your home, you would know this is how you do it, "genius"

Black piranhas are my favorite they are very aggressive and can only keep one in the tank, which makes it even more amazing to me because it makes me wonder how they live and produce in the wild.

These are active, schooling sharks that undergo daily migrations both horizontally and vertically in the water column, as well as seasonal migrations. They travel miles and miles each day. Meanwhile, all this poor shark appears to be able to do is swim 30 ft in one direction(while dodging obstacles), and then turn around and go back. The worst for me though are the cetaceans and primates.
