Hi Nats, loved seeing you do your own nails. Please do another video like this. I agree with everyone else, if you manually taper the tips with a file (not the drill) it will make them less bulky looking. Love seeing you being able to show off your talent on your own hands.

A fun change to see you do your own nails! This style of nail is fairly popular in US, called a tapered square. Cutting them makes them a nice square, not too wide. But I can see why it looked wrong to you, as you are no longer accustomed to them, I experienced the same feeling when I started doing my nails after not wearing them for a few years. Like you, my thumbs are wide and I struggle to find full cover nails that are the right size, I need a size between 0 and 1…I guess I need a .5 size. I prefer the brush-on cuticle oil as well. Since I have started using it at least twice a day, my hangnails have 98% been eliminated, and I have always struggled with them. Now my cuticles are great, and the only time I have issues is when I make a mistake in filing or nipping my own (usually on my non-dominant hand). Thanks for the video!
I haven’t done my nails for so long. About 6 weeks ago I had a scope to look in my stomach. Well cancer was found, and my stomach is not getting rid of all my food which is a different problem. I had to have another scope 2 weeks ago and another tumor was found. So now I’m waiting to find out how much of my stomach will have to be removed. About 90% I what we want it may be 100%. The good news is I will loose weight. So I haven’t been doing my nails. I love the color you used. I want to thank you for all your videos. Videos are my life saver. I have this time to get out of my head. I laugh and smile so much with videos. You are one of my favorite people. You just don’t know how much you help me. I always feel better after I watch. Thank you so much Nat.
I have multiple myeloma cancer which is your bone marrow. So I understand where you're coming from.
Keep doing your nails as much as you can. Even if it takes days for one hand. ❤❤ Bless you

I would guess that e-file bit would be called a tapered barrel bit.... I'm the same way with doing my own nails it takes me forever and a day!! Lovely set😊

When you have wide nails like that a square shape or round shape is going to make them look more wide. You want to do like a soft stiletto, or a very narrow almond or coffin, if you want them to look smaller

I have a huge thumb nail too. Most times the size 0 will fit my left thumb but not the right. My nails on my right hand are bigger
They looked great. Maybe to make them not look so wide/big as you say, make them shorter, and taper them in a little. I’m a tech here in nz and that’s what I do with a couple of my clients
I have a massive forehead as well, so I can relate. Made me giggle, cause there’s nothing much bigger than my forehead!🤣☺️
So, I think you were sent tapered square tips. Which you could have put back in, if you wanted after shorting.
I think the nails look great on you, and it's too bad you dont wear any. They look good on you.
Nails don't need to be long or xxl, in reality, active lengh is what was always requested at my desk.
For those of us who live a real life, we have to function and go potty... lol

I have the same issue, all my nails are wide, which drives me BONKERS! 😂 😆
Way back before I began doing my own nails, the Tech suggested that I wear Coffin, being that this shapes tapering, would make my nails look more slender!
Now if only there was something I could use to make my body look slender 😂 😝 😝 Haha bj n 😅😮

If you think you have a big thumb nail you wanna see mine, it’s like they’ve been on steroids. 🤣Tbh Nat all of my nail-beds are wide, once I put a set on I think they look like my fingers have been tw#ted with a hammer 🔨 😆😅however nice they look my head tells me otherwise.
