I remember listening to this game on the radio on the bus to school and then in the classroom in the morning. The teacher even decided to delay the start of class, so we could follow the game until the end. Good times. Too bad the rest of the tournament didn't go as well. :p
@Bigglestheman the swedish ice hockey team tre kronor is regarded as one of the best in the world, our team has won the world championships eight times, placing them third in the all-time medal count., tre kronor also won olympic gold medals in 1994 and 2006, in 2006 tre kronor became the first national hockey team to win both the olympic and world championships in the same year
@Bigglestheman i can buy the americans not giving it a full heart but i think we both know that when it comes to major hockey tournament then the canadians wanna win, nothing but gold matters ... and thank you for flying under swedish colours when we're up against finland or russia =)

to underestimate canada you need to be stupid or totally ignorant, theyre pretty sore losers tho =P yeah i think its pretty fair to say that you guys failed big time but youll do better this year, usa is a great hockey nation and as far as my opinion goes .. i would say that theres four nations that stands out, Canada, Usa, Russia and Sweden we ended up at a 3ed place 2010 but i hope we'll do better in 2011 =)
@phille22 LOL its amazing how you americans and canadians time after another finds something to blame, why cant you just admit that sweden was the better team, and to this say still are .. if sweden would show up with all of our top and star players and the US would show up with their top and star players youd lose all the same cause whether you wanna believe it or not but the americans arent really that great, you need a team with top players to match countries like sweden, russia and canada
Knappast hans fel att Tre Kronor gjorde ett ynka mål och endast fick iväg 17 skott på mål mot finnarna i kvartsfinalen 1998. Vi som minns vet att det var totalt obefintligt anfallsspel den matchen. Och svårt att enbart skylla på Salo 2002, då hela laget var under isen mot vitryssarna.
