So we're overdue some track repairs! Due to the number of drivers driving wayyy off track, some of our concrete edges are needing done again. Coupled with this we have found new places that the drivers like to run off track and take away the track edges. Driftland is crumbling away! But it's time to fix this drift track again, and armed with a tiny budget and little to no idea - Jeek, Kenny and Stu set about doing some concreting and other nice repairs.
Jeek also orders 20tonnes of road planings and has spread these up and down the pit lane - a job which took many many hours. He takes some time out to explain why we're NOT GOING TO TARMAC THE PITS and hopefully gives a little insight into some more of the behind the scenes work involved. Hope you guys enjoy - leave a like and comment if you did!
Driftland is the UKs only purpose built Japanese style drifting arena, built for all motorsport enthusiasts as a place to experience drifting at every level, from beginners taking their first steps to international competitions showcasing some of the finest talent the world has to offer.

Problem with that is if you are creating a barrier of any kind you have to get the track certified again. Which costs money. What they are doing here is not modifying the track at all therefore doesn't require safety certification.

    • @alpacarama21

@@Cragified Would adding a couple traffic cones count as adding barriers? Cars can usually hit those with approximately zero damage. Might add a "I don't want to hit that" element still. Edit: LIke the triangular "American" Autocross cones, not the ones with the heavy rubber bases.

Anything that doesnt cause damage becomes a "target" and will create FOD on track meaning we have to repeatedly stop track.
