my one question, WHY IS THE QUAD PART FREAKISHLY HARD!?!?!? and to add insult to injury you can hardly hear any percussion in the arrangement. I love the tune, but not the quad part. in fact when my band teacher makes us play it I whine like a bitch because I can't play it right.
I absolutely love birdland and other song commonly associated with Maynard Ferguson, since I’m a trumpet player, but I hate how the cover of the piece of the Michigan Marching Band, a disgrace to this great song, Ohio State till I die, Go Bucks!!
If there's one thing I know about Tom Wallace, it's that his pieces really sparkle.
I played bird land with my jazz band a few months ago, and man the nostalgia. It's unfortunate that the solo wasn't there.
What a great arrangement of the band's classic. Congratulations!!
