You can polish them up real nice by starting with a low grit (like 600 grit) sandpaper and gradually working your way up to a 12000 grit or use polishing papers. That's what they use for resin dice.

You could also use polishing and sanding tips on a Dremel tool to get the job done fast. I'm pretty sure you can get super fine grit tips, if not, I've seen video tutorials about making your own tips using old tips (basically glue the 1200 grit sandpaper on a tip with the coarse grip peeled off). Nonetheless, these look awesome and now I want to make some!

I actually had to do something similar for a uni project. I think it would be easier if you did what they had us do, which was create the silicon mold in 2 parts.
You fill you container half up with resin add in the object and keep it suspended with skewers (you want the skewers to be half in the resin because you use these channels to inject it in later).
Add in 2 small things with straight sides (these will be used to help you line the mold up and clip it into place later)
Let it cure, take out small objects and pour the rest of the mold.
Once that's cured you should be able to pull it apart! and you'll have 2 registration points (where the objects were) that line it up perfectly.
Then you can pour resin in one side line up the flowers perfectly, add the other half of the mold on top and inject resin to fill it up.
(It wouldn't work for UV resin but works great for the normal sort)

I think it would be easier to use the clay silicone because then you could do the glue method for the pieces, but use mold release in between the two sides of silicone, or maybe not even need the second half of silicone if you used a curved piece of plastic as your flat front for the lens piece to get the depth.

I have a mate one and a shiny one! I think you could use the shiny one over the resin you have to sand! I tried it a couple of times and it works pretty well and it isn't as expensive lol! Also it self levels better than resin when you paint it over!
