Nah, my dadi's village is in Bampa, Uttarakhand. 18km away from Chinese border and 3500m sea level high.
There was not even a cell tower a decade ago, our ancestral home didn't even have a proper electrical supply.
But now we have 16h/day electric supply. And BSNL was made available 4 years ago
P.S: Bampa is only habital for 6 months in the summer season due to extreme weather in winters.

In nagaland many govt offices have huge amount of pending electricity bill dues but the public are the ones that suffer.
Well I'm from Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
So in my society power cut rarely happens.......but it's not same for the whole city.
And apart from Relatively big Cities like Bhubaneswar, Cuttack,Puri & Rourkela, there's powercut everywhere especially in rural(tribal) areas 🥲

You forgot to mention one very important thing that even developed countries struggle with. That is Infrastructure.
Installation of a powerplants take many years even a decade but the demand increases at a higher rate (higher than anticipated).
Meaning the powerplant which started building in 2015 anticipating the demand of 2020, could not meet requirements of 2020 because the rise in demand was higher than expected.
Large scale powerplants are very slow to build and often are not subjected to private investment as most investors dont like waiting so much for returns.
The solution is building short term infrastructure like solar and wind to meet current demand while building long term infrastructure in the background.
Electricity plays a very imp. Role in development ❤❤

Guys, invest in power inverter🙏 Works wonders. Cheaper than solar panel, enough to survive outage. Sometimes it's better to have a fan/Charging socket/light bulb than having none in an outage. Especially in extremely hot areas.

Renewable sources are not reliable as thermal power plants. Wind turbines need a constant wind in a specific range of wind speed, solar plants need proper sunlight exposure and regular cleaning of panels.
Everything is wrong with so called renewable energy sources only nuclear energy is best
