  • In the final episode of this 3 part series, we will learn how to rig and animate objects using keyframes and the graph editor. We will also render out our own video to share on the web or with our client.
    Found this video useful and want to say a quick thank you? Why not buy me a coffee:

    I can ANIMATE!!! Thanks so much. I got a Udemy course on animation but I was having a hard time following the process because it was and older version of blender. But after watching your video I can proudly say I can now animate and understand it a lot better. 😁

    Hey! Great tutorials! Working wonders. Just wanted to ask as I'm a little stuck with a setting I may have missed - when I try to rotate the triangle for the animation, it doesn't rotate from a central point in the triangle like yours does, mine seems to rotate offset by one of its corners (when I drag the X axis in transform). Is there a way to re-centre my pivot point for the triangle so it rotates from the middle of the triangle?

    • @CBSuper
      @CBSuper  Před 3 lety

      Hit tab to go in edit mode. Hit g to move your object until the pivot is centered.

    Very helpful! How long did it take to render the animation?

    • @CBSuper
      @CBSuper  Před 3 lety +1

      I forget how long it was, but I would guess at under an hour. It was rendered on a macbook pro so i think it slowed down once it hit the motion blur.

    I don't have a command key, is there an alternative for adding transforms?

    • @CBSuper

      Command (Mac) is usually Control on the PC.

    I am making a minecraft rig render and when I parent the empty with the character it deforms the character. Am I doing something wrong?

    • @CBSuper
      @CBSuper  Před 3 lety

      Sounds like something isnt quite right, hard to say without seeing it, but it also depends on how your rigged the character. Try making a cube and parenting that cube to a larger empty cube. Just test the process.

    Im trying to make a walk cycle, and I press I to make a keyframe so it can save the changes, it doesn't work! When I press I it says "All channels, only selected channels, in active group" and I don't know what that means :( I've tried pressing each of them but none of the buttons saves my change >:( What do I do? I've been working on this since 4 :(

    • @CBSuper
      @CBSuper  Před 3 lety

      I would double check your rig controls. Also depends on how you built your animation rig. Walk cycle is a bit more complex than parenting an object to an empty, but it is the same basic concept. Also, if your using an IK system and you are trying to manually move an object that you have already reduced its movements to operate in an IK system, that may give you an error as well.

      @@tjromney ha, sorry, what i meant to say is i can show you and everyone else how to animate a generic logo. Basically, I will create a generic logo and demonstrate how to animate it. It will be pretty easy to follow, but you’ll need to adapt it for your logo. Do you have a link to your logo, I’ll take a look and see what it looks like and see if it will be easily adaptable.
