Thumbs up for having the trekking poles tips down. Maybe some think that's a minor issue, but I hate, hate, hate starting the day off with dirty handles. This tent is now on my shortlist for a new trekking pole tent.

Just set up my Fortius 1p in the backyard. I've never used a trekking pole tent before. It went up pretty quick, but I did reference this video and the instruction sheet quite a few times. Will give it a test drive this weekend in preparation for my first multi night backpacking trip on the Foothills Trail next month!

Set mine up in the backyard for the first time in a very light rain. The tent went up easy of course because yeah its in my backyard but I wanted to test it in the rain. It rained lightly most of the night and I was dry and comfortable, temps were pretty mild around 55 deg F (131 C). My favorite thing about the Fortius is how much more roomy it feels, my previous trekking pole tent was the Lanshan 1p tent. Very happy with the Fortius and can't wait to use it on the trail.

Thanks OV. I’m excitedly waiting for my 2p tent. Now if my Hamstring would finish healing so I can backpack. Thanks again!🐸

The tent looks good, but I especially loved seeing you wear the Altitude sun hoodie in the same color I bought. :)

Hi, I really like this tent. I am also quite tall at 6ft4, and whilst on paper it should not be a big deal as the floor space is 88in, I am wondering whether the gradient of the head/foot ends may restrict the usable space inside ? Many thanks

My tent has yellow ropes at the foot and flat, black webbing at the head. Having the different colors really helps me identify which end of the tent I'm working with.

Nice looking tent. If you put longer lines on the tie outs you'd be able to make use of natural anchors like rocks and shrubs.

Would have been nice to see more of the tent after it was erected, especially inside with a mattress and you in it, for space reference. No bashing intended just an observation and I realize it may have been intentional at this stage. By the way, I like it ALOT !! 👍🤠

I need some help figuring out this door, because no matter how I set this tent up I am having issues with the door and it’s highly annoying.

Hello, i live in Indiana, and I recently purchased the one person Fortius and got it set up for the first time, and it went well. I found packing it back up can be a little challenging, so is it ok to fold it somewhat and just stuff it back in it stuff sack? Thanks for a great product, love it.

Thank you for sharing! I have a couple questions.
    1) Do you recommend a footprint for the tent?
    2) Do you leave the stakes that high or drive them in further?
    thanks

I don't know Tayson's opinion, but I like to use a footprint to help protect the floor of the tent. Polycryo is light and inexpensive. You can buy a sheet of it as Duck brand window film. I suggest getting the "max" which is thicker. About the stakes, I would definitely drive them in further so they are solidly anchored.

We do recommend a footprint. However, our team members themselves don't often use one.
It's best to drive the stakes in further, but it's not always an option depending on the condition of the ground!

... Always a footprint ,, Protect your investment ..... Tyvek pieces sometimes can be acquired at home construction sites for free ....

Can you get inside the tent?

... Why stake the body off the ground ?? Allows wind and weather to get under /inside and lift the tent ... Staking body stakes tight to the ground also prevents any heat loss in colder temps ...

No light weight tent will give you any insulation. You want ventilation to reduce condensation.
