I would LOVE to travel on an inter-african trainline. It would be fantastic!! However, I'm sceptical about Afrail. It is listed as a single person owned company based in the Cayman islands, with very opaque finances that has been running since 2014. So that should raise alarm bells with fake crypto investments. If the could make money on the rail system, then they should be raising investment on that basis. But then they suggest using Maglev technology - that is incredibly expensive, which is why it has never been successfully implemented commercially without incredible subsidy. Inter-African rail networks are needed! but the starting point should be state to state connections with traditional rail and high speed rail technology
Look into things: it's a US based company named ABBA rail/ that created a crypto platform named ABBA platform which is used to sell people a cytpo currency named Cillar that you and every African will need to get on that railway!! Thru say it's out of Namibia that they get the green light but even Namibia might just be a bystander to the ultimate benifits of this ( if any given a US company is heading this)!

A fantastic project as Africa needs this type of infrastructures , My only concerns are the rail tacks will go across animal migration routes and many animals will get killed, due to being struck By such a fast moving trains, therefore, there needs to be careful planning By the railroad builders.
Exactly especially with its lower maintenance costs and operating costs and higher top speeds also more flexible routing designs too I think this project IS maglev actually this is a maglev project as stated later in the video. If you watched the whole thing
hopefully they keep the tracks to city areas as it looks like it will be doin closer inland will cost more to move the tracks compared to coastal citys.. africa really should utilise the colonial tracks to help maybe generate money to pay for the new track and them to upgrade the old ones for more local services and freight transport
There would most definitely have to be above ground tracks as well as tunnels and animal bridges. Otherwise, you’re going to have millions of dead animals and people in train derailments.
Why not. I’m sure it was African resources that built the French TGV high speed rail and infrastructure throughout Europe. No reason the continent’s wealth can’t build the infrastructure for the lands it comes from.

@ramahassan5363. Yes,it's the western mindset to care more about the animals than the people. They would rather see the continent empty of its people so as to continue to rape the continent of resources and use it as its playground. They mean us no good. We can definitely arrange things to benefit both people and animals.
Good luck with that, you will need a tremendous amount of cooperation between almost 50 or more governments, sustained over 20 years, there will be many hands out.
@UnitedAfrica-uw9ct just read it.. what stood out is democratic governance, this one is key as you need government accountability to the people and not just adulation for a new strongman leader. The goals established 11 years ago do not seem closer now. Overcoming tribalism, interrelgious harmony, the battle against Islamic jihadism, these challenges are still present. Increased peace and reduction in the number of conflicts stood out. It seems pegging to the USD allows for greater leverage of the funds raised, due to exchange rate. The other thing, the U.S. does not employ high speed rail not because it can’t. It doesn’t do it because it is beholden to the automobile and fuel industry that have each been king since early 20th century. High speed rail means less demand for automobiles, and the auto companies wouldn’t like that.
