    • @ICUNURSE
      @ICUNURSE  Před rokem +1

      Give your WhatsApp number. I will send you the details about the answer with images.
      Sims position is a variation of left lateral position. Sims position is the actual position ideal for enema as as visualising the anus is more easy with sims position.
      Lateral recommend position and left lateral position are both the same. Sims position is the position in which only the elbow is flexed upwards when the patient is in left lateral position to visualise the anus.
      If there is sims position in the option select Sims position.
      If there is no Sims position in the option select left a lateral position.

      For other respiratory problems Fowler's position and orthopneic position can be given.

    • @ICUNURSE
      @ICUNURSE  Před 4 lety

      Hai pradhan,
      Mechanical ventilation in the prone position has been evaluated as a strategy to enhance oxygenation and lung recruitment in acute respiratory failure. The mechanisms by which prone positioning may benefit patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) undergoing mechanical ventilation include improving ventilation-perfusion matching,increasing end-expiratory lung volume , and preventing ventilator-induced lung injury by more uniform distribution of tidal volume through lung recruitment and alterations in chest wall mechanics. Early trials persistently demonstrated improved oxygenation.
      Acute respiratory distress syndrome has multiple respiratory problems.
      Respiratory distress alone can be treated by giving a fowlers position alone initially. If it is not relieved by fowler's position other measures will be taken.
