- This is an HD remake of Episode 1 in my series of videos based on Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky, created in SkyTemple. This tells the story of how Darkrai sabotages Temporal Tower, and it keeps focus on the top and bottom screens whenever necessary, so there is no longer any large empty space. Also, it includes a boss battle between Darkrai and Dialga. *Please ignore the substitute, because I could not edit out the partner*

Dialga sensing a human’s arrival from the future, transformed into a Pokémon, actually makes me wonder if Dialga himself has the dimensional scream, maybe even without needing to touch something in order to trigger it.
It would’ve been pretty cool if we saw Dialga having a vision, the flashes beginning, then seeing Grovyle and the protagonist travelling through time, then revealing what he saw.
It would be really cool if Dialga can help the player Pokémon "refine" their Dimensional Scream. Say, actively triggering it when they touch something rather than just hoping something comes, or maybe being able to tell between past or future visions. It's been my headcanon that the protagonist's Dimensional Scream is incomplete as they couldn't train it with Primal Dialga's minions always on their tail.
@@gengarzilla1685 that would explain why it works with anything in the present day, but in the future where Primal Dialga exists, only works on objects that are connected to the time gears.
Dialga not knowing about time space portals and darkrai being able to stand up against Dialga is a little unrealistic.
Darkrai should get his own Special Episode Arc for a Remake someday
The idea that Darkrai was behind everything in the main story is such a cool concept! Fantastic work on this and looking forward to the direction that this goes if this continues!

Yeah, Darkrai being the true cause of it all was a thing from the original game. This is just us getting to see him set everything up.
Really well made, I like it as a possible explanation, the quality of the scenes is also very good. Some of Dialgas dialogue could be improved, but it's overall not bad. The one thing I don't agree on, is the way darkrai defeated dialga. Since he is a nightmare master and dark type, subterfuge would have made more sense for him imo. Him defeating dialga, the god of time, one on one without a scratch is a bit incredulous. If he messed with dialgas mind through nightmares instead, over a longer period of time, and thus was able to sneak away with the time gears without dialga ever noticing (because of being plagued by nightmares), I think this would be more fitting for darkrai.
I appreciate the feedback. I will just point out that this was my very first edit in SkyTemple, but I have been practicing and getting better.
I don't think Darkrai stole the time gears from the tower to cause the collapse. The Time Gears have very clearly been hidden away for a long long time and the process of the planet becoming paralyzed was like a few years max.
True, but the ones in the game aren't the only Time Gears, remember? One was hidden in a volcano, but that one was never collected.
The partner says they've "heard" of one in a volcano. Who's to say they didn't just pick up some bad rumor? I personally don't think that one exists in Sky.

Yeah, the Limestone Cavern one. Put that with the Time Gears at the end of Treeshroud Forest, Steam Cave, Quicksand Cave, and Crystal Crossing, and you've got five. I'm certain the mysterious Time Gear in a volcano was retconned to a mere fable in Sky's canon.

Kinda weird if Darkrai touches phiscally Dialga, it turned into Primal Dialga, I think it's more complicated

This doesn't make sense. If Dialga can control time, he can distort it and prevent Darkrai from sabotaging him directly.
Besides, I don't think him turning "dark" can be attributed to Darkrai's powers, he was turning that way because Temporal Tower was collapsing, he got desperate and turned into a primitive being seeking his own survival.
It would have been credible if Darkrai used his powers to make Dialga fall asleep and create an illusion to trick him into either thinking everything is fine or making him paranoid about the tower collapsing.

Not accurate, Dialga become Primal because lack of time gears, not just some cringeworthy darkrai "poison". And why tf darkrai scatter timegear to 5 location and assign guardians like Azelf etc???
@@masvik9720There are more than just 5 Time Gears. Plus, Darkrai touching Dialga only left a bit of darkness in Dialga's body. It grew stronger as time got weaker.

This really works as the prologue of the events of Explorers showing us about how Darkrai found and sabotages Temporal Tower, fought Dialga and corrupted him with his darkness, Dialga sends the Relic Fragment somewhere which eventually your partner here would found and also the Planet Paralysis event begins. I always have the curiosity to see exactly how Darkrai was the mastermind in this story all this time, you did a very well job with this cutscene.
This is actually a really interesting story I really love this game so incredibly much
One of the best games ever made imo, I loved it as a kid. Hoping to replay it on the switch one day 🤞🏼
One thing i always wondered about the plot of this game is what was Past Darkrai doing during the events of the game? The Darkrai we see and fight in game comes from the Future where his plan succeded. We know this because he was present during the MC and Grovyle's first escape to the past. Shouldn't there have been another Darkrai in the past, the one who set his plan in motion?

I would like the idea after beating darkrai there would be one more special episode where you control darkrai. You get to see him born from darkness, first meeting his nemesis Cresselia, and all these other events with Dialga. It would be awesome
Hmmm...what about wiggliytuff?? How did he get access to Lapras then since it can only be summoned with the relic fragment.
Lapras is a sentient being too
Lapras only needs to be summoned by the Relic Fragment to get to the Hidden Land

This could have easily fit into the original game and makes sence from a story perspective.
You should control primal dialga and darkrai must have maxed boss stat.
The whole point is that Dialga LOST against Darkrai
With Darkrai having maxed out stats, Dialga _will_ lose. That's the point.
