Why did I not receive my combo card from USCIS?

- USCIS typically approves work and travel permits (Employment Authorization Documents - EAD and Advance Parole Travel Permits - travel permits) together in a "Combo Card". But recently, it has stopped the practice in order to speed up work card processing times. Be SURE to check the card that you receive to determine where it includes the travel permit or not.

My husband is a multimillionaire and we are hoping to travel to Europe. I'm so disappointed that EAD authorization came quickly ( after my biometrics) but not my AP. This combo card is so more practical then carrying that awkward piece of paper.

Hello Audra! Look at this; I have heard that applicants no longer get the combo card. I received the COMBO (Work authorization card with printed information on the bottom saying I-512 Advance parole) 3 weeks ago! But not yet the SSN...
That's good! It is hit or miss. the Social security number should come in 30 days.

Hello ma’am. I have a question, how does one mail the combo card? Does one mail the package i.e. I-765 & I-131 to the Dallas service center or they go out to different service center’s?

I have received my EAD as well as green card but I have not received my social security card/number. I cannot open a bank account , driving license or take employment. I have applied through the social security office for SSN. It's been two months but no response. Please advise what should be done

Hello Audra, I submitted my i485 application back in June, got the biometrics in July but still haven't received neither the EAD or the advance parole. I was working under STEM OPT as an engineer and had to quit my job a month ago because that expired. When I requested an expedition on the EAD they declined it saying my case wasn't urgent enough. What course of action would you suggest I take given I haven't traveled back to my country in 4 years to see my family and can't work in the US basically stuck here. Do you suggest I resubmit an expedition request for EAD? Also how do I expedite advance parole card if I don't have a immediate family emergency necessarily? (It's been 8 months since I submitted my green card application)
Submit a new expedite request showing that the company will suffer a significant financial loss without you working. It is so frustrating! I have a lot of cases waiting as long as yours, too.

It means that the U.S. Embassy feels that your relationship is not real (most likely reason) and sent it back to USCIS for revocation.
My EAD card was lost by the post office and my lawyer re applied for my EAD card and I went to do my biometrics again but nothing has been updated on my uscis portal will the new card just randomly show up ?

Hello so my wife got her work permit as well as her ssn, and now her green card, however, her advantage parole hasnt been approve yet, Can we travel abroad since she already got her green card? Or should we wait until her advance parole is approved?
If the green card is approved then the advance parole application will be denied. It is not needed after the green card is approved, it is only a temporary benefit.

I got EAD but did not get Advence parole, i got marry with my wife before my visa(6 mounts) had been expired. then i filled the forms after 3 mounts of our marriage while my visa time expired. Do you think that is related 'Not valid for reentery u.s' ?
No, they are just slow to approve Advance Parole. It is not due to your visa expiration.
Hello , I applied for a green card through vawa. I submitted I-485, I-360, I-765, and I-131. My I-485 shows that my fingerprints have been applied to my case, my I-360 has been received, my I-765 the fees are waived, and my I-131( advance parole ) has been approved. I've read many positive experiences from people who have the EDA combo card with the advance parole. In my case I only have the approved AP. Can I travel with ONLY my approved advance parole? Would I be ok to reenter the US?
My only status right now is that I have a valid work permit through DACA that doesn't expire until 2023. Is it possible that my EAD still hasn’t been approved because I still have a valid EAD through DACA?

I would contact your attorney to be sure you are clear to travel. Even if you have an Advance Parole travel document, some people should not travel before their green card is approved. I think that the EAD is just slow, USCIS has probably not made any connections or thought that hard about it. :)
Hi Audra, thanks so much for your video. On July 3th, 2022 I've received a combo card that says with red letters:" I-512 serves as advanced parole", however there's no update on the USCIS website. I never received a notice of i-131 approval, only my i-765 EAD says approved on their website. Should I travel with this combo card, or should I wait until the approval notice?

I think you can be safe to travel with this document. If you are concerned you can call USCIS to confirm.

Hi. My husband (DACA) got an I-512 for a one time exit and one time entry and it’s only valid for ~6 weeks… is that all we need to travel? Or do we need to wait for a new EAD card. Thank you in advance.
That is all you need to travel if the DACA application itself is valid. If his DACA has expired then I would not travel until that is approved again.

Hello. Thanks for the information. Our Green Card is under process. Our son who is a US citizen and he has filled our applications in last week of February 2022.
Just two days ago we have received an EMPLOYMENT AUTHORISATION cards. At the bottom of the cards it's mentioned that,
NOT VALID FOR RENTRY TO US.
Also we have received SSN a day before.
We are eagerly waiting for either GREEN CARD or Advance Parole as it is absolutely necessary for us to return to India as soon as possible. We are Indian citizens having 65 and 60 years of age.
Could you give us information that when we can receive Advance Parole or Green Card. We are from McKinney, TX.
We also have received I-693 deficiency notice yesterday.
We have been advised not to submit I 693 till they advise to submit either at the time of interview or interview waiver message.
Please also advise that is it good and safe to leave USA on Advance Parole?

I am not a lawyer, but do not leave at any moment until you receive your green card in hand and until you make sure that your names are spelled correct. I watch and listen to many immigration shows and I find them all helpful.
When they send you a letter talking about deficiency,(medical exam) most cases that means they are working on your file and they are going to schedule your interview soon. So keep waiting. And once you get those green cards please don't go to India and stay more than 6months.
I applied march 24,2022 and biometrics done 27 April 2022. No work permit or social security for me.
