This is looking insane!! The Roads hideout living in particular is basically just an entirely new game mode, where you fight to survive in the wilderness as part of a neighborhood of other wilderness guilds. It's actually looking a lot like what I thought the original hideouts system from Queen was going to be, and that is REALLY exciting. The portal codex thing where you read the spinning rings is also the most amazing combination of lore and in-game UI I have ever seen, it just makes me unreasonably unhappy. Looking at it makes you feel like an actual mystical adventurer.
I took a break from the game with the plan to come back in with this update, and oh boy, SBI is blowing all expectations clear out of the water and INTO SPACE.
SBI is killing it right now, so pleased to see the direction the game is taking
I was watching this video, looking for info on those roads and, surprise, I saw my follow alert, this made my day.

As dev many times said they are kinda copying from Eve Online, thats the wormwhole space in AO.

just go one zone in the roads of avalon to be safe. sometimes one avalon cluster connects to two royal zones.

Do the dungeons in the road of avalon resets?do they have timers that they get closed after entering ?
Have you got some extra tips regarding gathering? Because for me it was nothing like you described it. I am a t5 stone gatherer and so far i wandered around for hours on end not finding any camps that have a veteran mob or anything worth the effort just to get ganked eventually and even the „big“ stone areas had only 7 nodes in it. Did i miss something or did all the good stuff get patched out again? 😳
Haven’t played this game for years, came back just a few days ago. Didn’t see much news so didn’t know about those Avalon wormholes. Was looking for a random dungeons in black zone and a bunch of gankers found me and started a chase. Hopefully I have found this portal and looks like I have used the last slot in its capacity, because no one have entered there after me. Was curious about where the fuck I am, so decided to check a chest. Looks like it was a blue one so I was immediately wiped. Now I’m here watching what the hell is this. Thx for the vid:)

They're, essentially, wormholes from Eve crossed with Diablo 3's Rifts then.
What do the silver and gold border colors of the portals mean? I feel like it was covered in the video when I watched it before but I can't find it now.
gold means you have used the portal recently and can use it freely for a while
is there a way i can only go to t8 green chests in ava roads?
@Lewpac you mentioned several times, that the zones will be cleared or farmed out. Do they not have respawns? Do the mobs camps and chests not respawn? So you could literally empty the roads, all 350 maps, of everything but resource nodes? I'm sure they do im just looking for a time or confirmation. Please let me know. Good work
Yes they respawn but I'll be researching the exact times this week

Seems like this won't really do you much good for doing hell gates unless you have a hideout to bank/hold gear in. Would be sweet to have inner towns inside, or maybe chests for people who don't want to commit fully to one spot.
Is there a way to que for a group for this??
What if i have home set in a hideout that next day isnt in the avalonian rotation?
The tiles never rotate out, they simply have different connections

So it's totally normal to find a T6 Zone with the 4 little Diamond things getting 13k reputation from mods you kill that are guarding green chests because that's been my experience when I'm lucky enough to find one of those portals
I was praying that small guilds (4-10) could live in the roads and make a hideout. But off course I was wrong 20-40.
This is still gone be the Arch/Poe monopoly shitshow!

Why wouldn't small guilds be able to live in the roads?

@@Plaufin and how will that work? 20+ people? They cant get that many people through portals. And the 20+ people wont have any reason to randomly destroy a hideout. Its very unlikely, expect for if there is another guild in the same area as you. Do some politics, since i bet they dont wanna waste time on it either. Pay some taxes, not fonna be much, there wont be any PoE or arch, since for any big guild this is no way to live

Is there anything in avalon for solo players to play a bit without too much risk, i know the game is full pvp but i played a while back and id like to spend some of my time doing solo pve but there was not much of that to do
Yes solo chest camps, solo dungeons and resource areas you can clear solo
To be honest no... All the high tier resources r in black and red zones and generally the good loot is also there... The game is not a very solo friendly game I would dare to say is not even low group friendly game... The actual game begins after 5 man groups, lower than that realistically you will live in max tier 5 areas
Do u find any place to put hideout with Big doors? (20ppl)
The doors are randomised, as is the size.
Albion Online's zones reminds me of EVE Online's systems and security ratings.

y, if you don't pay attention to the entrance closing time yes.
No, we made sure that any given zone will offer a gate that ultimately leads to the Royal or Outland continent.
As interesting as it sounds to get stranded in the Roads, we didn't want the only choice existing for players trapped there to either suicide or log out and wait for a new connection.

join ours! we will be making a HO if possible inside the roads of avalon, we have 1 HO deep in the blackzone where our main zone is and it's close to the HG so you can safely travel to put your loot in and we're going to make 2 more HOs in a T8 zone and one in a T5 zone for ZvZ purposes and transport protection. We are allied with BACON and they have a HO right outside a T8 static which means you can safely put your loot there because the shield bubble lasts more than long enough to get you there. We own the T8 static basically. reach me out more on discord cycy008#5766 though tell me your discord name here because i would not know who to accept since there's many on friend requests.

if its so hard to get back to your hideout in the roads, what is the merit of having a hideout in the roads then?
It's your home , you will bind to it use it as a base . For people living in the roads the hideout will be your start point each day, and the rest of the content you find will be random
@@lewpac I see, i guess hideouts are really for people who are already established and are not too worried about selling their loot day to day
Basically it gives you the option of playing Albion in a whole new kind of way. Just like how Black Zone gameplay is totally different from Yellow Zones, the Roads are a brand new way to play. It's just that Avalon hideouts are ONLY for people who want to 100% commit to that, and in return you get big benefits like a safe house in the wilderness, a reliable starting point for Roads adventures, hideout crafting bonuses, and so on.
Edit: And yes, I think the idea is that people who live in the Roads are very self-sufficient and craft most or all of their own equipment. Based on Lewpac's descriptions, it sounds like it's very difficult to make transport runs to and from the deep roads (Avalon Rests). So it makes sense that the Roads are so full of every type of resource, and personally I think that's awesome!

@@lewpac im aware of that. if its just blackzone hideout. its viable and necessary. but if its in road of avalon with constantly changing route, it doesnt make sense since u also struggle to find your way back. couldnt they just enable farming in HO for the avalonian road? the feature is already there to begin with. because to me it looks like going on a one way trip to "paradise".
