Education is the most important tool for people truly appreciate the deep wisdom of Bharat, not as a country, but as a vessel of knowledge. As I write this I think of how English, a very limited language, has taken over the world by colonizing through speech.
English is not a universal laguage, is the language of the war against diversity and cultural differences. I'm a Spanish speaker from the Caribbean and English has poluted all Mother tongues.

You are right.....that should be our objective.....but, first & foremost, we, the Hindus ( in India & abroad ) must read the Bhagavad Gita DAILY for atleast one hour with a focused mind and try to understand it , by meditating on each & every verse ..and , understand the REAL PURPOSE OF LIFE by learning from the Gita about the Supreme Lord Krishna ( Bhagavan ) & his 64 divine qualities, pastimes etc.....this is the preliminary step to reestablish our ( jiv atma's ) original selfless loving relationship with Sri Krishna .
We ( Hindus ) cannot just go out to the wider world to make it a better place, when we do not know who Bhagavan is & what His divine qualities are & why He created the material world & why we , the living entities ( billions of jiv atmas ) are trapped in this material world of birth, old age, disease & death
      ( in a continuous cycle of reincarnation ) ,
As Krishna says to Arjuna, , to understand the deeper meaning of the Gita, we must engage in selfless Devotional service ( Bhakti Yoga ), in a humble state of mind, to Krishna such as :
by daily reading of the Gita or by chanting the Hare Krishna maha mantra daily, by engaging in service (;seva) to i Sri Krishna's devotees at a temple etc etc .
Whilst engaging in such service ( seva), we should learn to be conscious of the fact we are serving Krishna , through his devotees, as His eternal servants, without desiring any rewards for such seva.. ..humility is the key to progress & success in Bhakti Yoga ( Devotional service) ie Vaishnavism which is a branch of Hinduism.
By engaging in devotional services stated above, we will begin to develop strong , unflinching faith in Krishna and be ready to SURRENDER to Krishna unconditionally. In so doing, we would be totally dependent on Krishna on all aspects of our life.
In turn, Krishna will become our guide, companion, friend etc and, depending upon the degree of our surrender to Him, He
( Krishna ) will empower us , guide us in our day to day life,
And, if our ambition is to go out to the wider world to reshape the humanity 's consciousness and raise it to the higher ( transcendental) level, than, without hesitation, Krishna will also give us the necessary qualities, skills, virtues & a higher level of intelligence to engage in raising the global consciousness.
However , whilst engaged in such seva, we should always be conscious of the fact that, we are engaged in such seva , as servants of and for the pleasure of Lord Krishna. Working in such a state of mind, Krishna assures us,
just as he assured Arjuna at the start of the Mahabharat's
epic Kurukshetra battle , that we will not suffer any negative karmic reactions.
      All glories to Sri Krishna
      All glories to Bhagavad Gita
( ISKCON edition of the Gita, in my opinion, is the only authentic Bhagavad Gita , because it is translated , with Purports in English, by the founder Acharya of global ISKCON Hare Krishna Movement, Swami Prabhupada who was in a direct disciplic succession
( parampara) of the founding father of Vedic religion).
      All glories to Srila Prabhupada
      Hare Krishna

Most sing from throat just want to show off their shāshtreeya sangeeta jnāna!

Very insightful interview with Shree Jeffrey ji.... did bit more research on Brahma->Abraham, Saraswati->Sarah... Is Madan/Kaandeva, the son of Brahma, same as Medan the son of Abraham? Is Jambavant, the other son of Brahma, same as Zimran/Zambran that other son of Abraham? And so on?

This is great info, though to be fair Sri Aurobibdo translation has a glossary of sanskrit words. I would have to double check to see if Jeffrey's claims that his translation effort is unique in the way he said. Nevertheless, great info and I welcome the effort to clarify and properly translate and such... the decolonization effort is really appreciated.
