    2016-2018 lebron was the most complete basketball player of all time. His experience, IQ, and confidence that he developed in Miami came full circle. In my opinion, if Kyrie and Love didn’t get injured in 2015, and KD didn’t go to the Warriors, he would have won 4 straight championships, he was absurdly dominant in all those playoffs, and no team would beat him and Kyrie. Of course KD did turn those tides tho.

      @orchestrator6808 Před rokem +8

      I wouldn’t say he was the most complete ever. He definitely lost a step defensively after the 2016 finals and his shooting was not as good during the miami years. Offensively, he might’ve been at the peaks of his powers in 2018, but I think the efficiency and defense is too much to trade off from his championship years in Miami.
      I think he could’ve gotten maybe another chip in 2015, but I don’t think the cavs had a shot of beating anybody from the west in 2018. 2017 would’ve been a toss up considering that the warriors came back healthy and motivated to beat the cavs.

The Miami version of Lebron was better than any other time, because he actually had top-tier defense, whereas the other versions aren't on par with that (save for offense). The ability to make those sorry teams competitive was impressive. Miami - he tasted REAL winning and was having fun while doing it. Most importantly, he learned how to win. Return to Cleveland - strictly business and he was on a mission. He wanted to finish what he started and did it in style. 2018 Lebron was an absolute beast. His gamewinner against the First Round Pacers, his contested fadeaway shots against LeBronto, his contested back-to-back threes against the Celtics, and playing a near immaculate game 1 against the Warriors as a one-man show absolutely highlighted his abilities in all facets of the court. Of course, his defense wasn’t perfect, but his offensive arsenal was at its peak for sure.

    I’m a Heat fan and I’m going with the 2nd stint Cavs Lebron. He had everything figured out by then due to everything he learned in Miami, and the only reason he wasn’t as dominant defensively is because he had so many more responsibilities leading a team that although they were talented, they had no championship pedigree. In Miami we had the infrastructure and defensive philosophies already in place for Lebron to step in and do his thing. So it’s 2nd stint Lebron for me

    I agree with Skip for once. 2nd time in Cleveland was the best LeBron. They only lost when Kyrie and Love were hurt and then to the KD Warriors. Draymond came out and said recently that they needed KD to beat the Cavs and I have to assume it would’ve been the same the first year if the Cavs had their 2nd and 3rd best players.

    Miami LeBron was good. But that 2011 finals kind of hurt really bad. The 2nd stint with Cavs is probably the best. Specially the 2018 finals. Where he literally did it all and almost beat a team with 4 HOF all in their prime in game 1 ! Man that 2018 LeBron was something else.

    I like Skip but he never responded to the question... for me I liked watching the 2007-2010 Bron but the 4 years in Miami were his peak especially because of the defensive end with chase down blocks, extended shooting range, and more aggressive play with the ball.

  • @Mister.Patterson
    @Mister.Patterson Před rokem +1

    Miami LeBron was his physical peak. But I think 2018 LeBron was the absolute peak of his game from all aspects. He wasn’t just dominating physically, he was doing it mentally. He didn’t have a choice bc Kyrie was gone. That 2018 playoff run was incredible to watch. I didn’t think he’d get out of the 1st round vs Indiana and he somehow got to the Finals. And he was in a different mode Game 1 of the Finals

      @@MichelleJ79 Kerr and Allen were completely different situations tho. Kerr didn't save any series. Kerr's shot didn't come off a MJ miss. Besides Lebron's miss, Lebron didn't really have anything to do with Allen hitting his shot. And '97 was MJ's 5th. 6th was the shot over Byron Russell. Skip for sure the biggest Lebron hater tho for rehashing Lebron's failures instead of just answering the damn question on which stint was Lebron's best.

In Miami, his athleticism slightly declined, but he improved his shooting and had his best team overall. In his second stint in Cleveland, he preserved his athleticism by optimizing his training and his IQ shot to another level. Now he's on the Laker's and what he's doing just does't make sense anymore.
