Who knows why, maybe she's that poor of a sport about losing or just wanted to instill more victimhood mentality to motivate her team. Doesn't really matter though because she's part of the parity destroying system allowing for paid for All-Stars to all be stacked on one team which of course no organically developed team could compete against. This is why no one cares about how many rings UCon or SC or a few other teams might get as they set up a system where they can just keep awarding themselves every year, kind of like her getting coach of the year with such a stacked team which is hilarious. At least you admitted that she did say it, just as she did The cry Wolf racism against BYU and of course that Caitlin Clark can't be the goat because she didn't win a ring and that men should be on the women's team. I been following SC all year and I'm actually shocked that they did not beat Iowa by 20 or more. This is a great team! Team play beats "me" play every time.
Clark leads the nation in assists, by more than 2 per game. The crazy thing about her is she is a pass first player. 😊 She is also third all time leader NCAA assists.

What won the game is the bench. It’s huge when you have a full bench of women that could be starters, and a coach that trusts them. It has to be fun for USC right now. They attract all the top talent and much the same way Duke did on the men’s side, and have a great coach like coach K to bring them together. I have been rooting for Iowa (not just because of CC) all year and for them to win the championship, but hats off to USC. They are simply a level above everyone else.

Clark had the most rebounds for Iowa, indicating a weak backcourt for Iowa. She plays at the top of the key and still had the most rebounds for Iowa? The rest of the IOWA team did not elevate at all. Hello everyone. I'm from Germany and I don't understand why so much hate is being poured on Caitlin Clark. Is it because she is white, or she has a boyfriend and doesn't like women, or just because she has broken so many records, or just pure envy because of her incredible talent for this sport. I don't understand you Americans sometimes. You have a 22 year old girl who has changed basketball worldwide, half the nation (USA and Germany) is sitting in front of the TV because of her and she inspires millions of young girls and boys to play basketball. Everybody be happy to have such an exceptional talent in your country. Here in Germany she would be carried from one place to another on her hands.
And when asked, is she the G.O.A.T in college basketball? Do you have to have won a title for that? Basketball is a team sport and she is part of that team. She alone can't win the title. Death threats. Cruel misogynistic insults. Racisl hate. This was the welcome the Hawkeyes had to the finals. . . It's going to be a sight when all of these fans of other teams, who try to lay claim the popularity that Caitlin's fame brought, crow racism or whatever victim take when the viewership of women's ball drops in half, or worse. They won't know that they undermined women's basketball themselves.
The sad part is they won't even know that they undermine their own teams. The viewership will be dropping not only because Caitlin is gone but because of how they treated Caitlin, Hawkeyes, Iowa, and women - This week both she and her teammates had to deal with an onslaught of racism and threats which is just shocking for a group of girls who've done everything right, play the game in a beautiful way, organically grew and develop their team, conduct themselves with good citizenship and charity off the court. And of course also the narcissistic coaches of the paid for all-star teams always had sideways comments about shooting 40 shots per game or can't be the GOAT without a championship ( talking out of both sides of their mouth saying she's great, but). So the toxic fans of South Carolina, LSU, UConn etc. will get what they asked for - now they can keep winning meaningless rings and awarding themselves meaningless coaching awards but no one's going to be watching.
Clark showed what people want to see, and it's been seen before with Jordan, Bird, Magic, Curry - people want to see players who are loyal to their team and develop a team, not stacked All-Star teams, and they want to see players who play with sportsmanship and don't resort to snipes or violence and who are good citizens and uncharitable off the court. I think this is a symptom of the times and social media, for we can recall Tiger woods facing similar types of hate but it was mitigated by an overwhelming wave of support from the white community that drowned out all of the haters. Now it seems we're in the age where the haters drown out the appreciation of great sport, development, citizenship, and just love. If we don't fix this we're going to lose more than women's basketball.
Please put the needle down and step away from the cliff. Caitlin Clark is not the face of NCAA women's basketball.
