    Löw's jettisoning of Müller, Hummels, and Boateng, and especially the manner in which it was done, felt more like scapegoating and an attempt to deflect from his own failure than a desire to "rebuild." Old "stinky fingers" SHOULD have resigned in 2018.

    • @FC-dr5cm
      @FC-dr5cm Před 3 lety +31

      Löw is simply not on overaverage coach. He is always building up on the block of players from Bayern München using their style of playing. His squad selection is some times weird and how he treats some players is just disrespectfull. There was Kuranyi, who left the stadium early when he wasn´t part of the squad and he was banned afterwards from ever playing for germany again. It was just Löw not wanting to work with him and looking for an excuse to get rid of him. Cause when Podolski slapped Ballack, the team captain, in the face on the pitch he wasn´t punished at all. This is just double standards. Löw is a bit to convinced about himself and should have quit after the world cup win.
      The analysis after 2018 was, that he did nothing wrong, but they need a renewal. But instead of making way for someone new as coach to have a real fresh start he insisted on staying in charge. His style of football is outdated and he is simply not good enough to adapt properly.
      He is not a bad coach, but every time I hear rumours about Real Madrid thinking about signing him, I laught out loud, cause it´s ridiculous. He is ok, but not comparable to coaches like Guardiola, Klopp, Tuchel. There is some reason he was coach for the national team for so long while never coaching an international top team, or at least national top team in germany.

    • @toomuchinformation
      @toomuchinformation Před 3 lety +9

      @@FC-dr5cm I thought it was only me who remembered the heavy handed way he treated Kuranyi and Podolski's outrageous, unpunished slap on Ballack.
      Loew often put Podolski in the squad, regardless of form, because he was a joker and boosted squad morale.
      Also remember that Germany only won the WC because of an injury to Mustafi. Germany had been indifferent up till then and this forced Loew to take Lahm out of midfield (where he'd also been playing for Guardiola's BM) and back in defence where he should've been all along. Loew was basically copying Pep, but without any real rationale for doing so.
      Germany from 2006 - 2014 was a turnkey operation and I think that Loew underachieved with them.

And being successful here means winning a world cup, only winning that title is a coach or a group of players considered successful here. Since 2014, the reconstruction process can be considered a success. We are dominating our continent, and we've almost won every competition since 2017. Unfortunately, now that we have some problems with European teams and the Nations League, we don't have space to compete with these teams. Only at World Cups. For us, it's a sad situation.

    Pretty simple:
    When you have the best double six in the world with goretzka and kimmich but instead kroos and gündogan playin double six...
    When you have with ridle baku a great player on the right full back position but instead of include him to the squad you to let him play the u21 ec tournament...
    ...then you really don't have to ask what's wrong because everyone know what's wrong.
    -------------------- Neuer ----------------
    Baku -- Ginter -- Süle -- Gosens
    ------ Goretzka ----- Kimmich ----
    --- Sane --- Havertz -- Gnabry --
    ------------------- Müller ----------------
    If löw decide to play in that formation they could beat everyone but hey instead of winning the tournament löw decide to get eliminated in the group stage... up to him
    by the way kimmich was central midfielder all his career only for a short period at bayern he played right wing back but it's not his original position.

    The German’s cycle of world class players have ended, just like in 2006 when most were shocked that they reached the semi finals.
    Every country goes through this especially when the midfielders aren’t being produced to the same level. Although it may be coincidental, their top talent drought has coincided with Schalke 04’s downturn and their academy was the producers of Neuer, Gundogan, Draxler, Ozil and Sane.

While there are still young and talented players like Havertz and Neuhaus (linked to Bayern, Pool and Real) and young players like Musiala (just turned 18 and has the reputation of being Müllers heir) or Florian Wirtz (one of the best players of the u21 euro cup, one month earlier), wo also turned 18, just 1 month ago, while scoring 16 times, this season!

    The problem everyone else ignores: Thomas Müller is at 12 European Championship Games, 0 Goals and 1 Assist. He scored his last relevant goal for Germany during the 7:1 destruction of Brazil in 2014! That was 7 years ago. He had 0 Goals during the Euros in France, the World Cup in Russia and the Nations League... But he is supposed to be the savior, while the best players are Gündogan, Kimmich, Goretzka and Kroos. But you can't play all 4 of them in a central role, when Müller is playing as the 10 (or false 9), a role which Gündogan played a lot for Man City this year....

    I think a National Coach should never put his ideology and tactics before the natural roles and talents of the players he has available. With his 3-4-3 nonsense almost every player seems to be underperforming. Kimmich excels playing in the middle controlling the pace of the game, yet Low sacrifices him as a winger. Hummels has consolidated himself as a 4-men-defense center back, and Low is exposing his weaknesses with this formation. Muller is forced to play compressed against the sideline, going totally against his positional and free roaming skills. I could go on but you get the point: put the players on the pitch where they can play their best game. I would use a 4-3-3 formation with Muller roaming free as a false 9, or maybe he could play as an unconventional AMF with two forwards, simply because they have great players to play that way. Put Kimmich in the middle. And for Odin's sake don't keep Sule on the bench.
