This is probably the best live version I’ve seen of ‘Mad Daddy’ and excellent visual and audio quality! I recently heard an interview with Lux and Ivy. ‘Mad Daddy’ was actually inspired by a radio DJ in Cleveland named Pete Myers who went by Pete ‘Mad Daddy’ Myers. Lux loved the radio show he put on back in the 50’s (late 50’s I believe).
Thank you so much for sharing this.
RIP Lux and much love to Ivy, the Queen of rock n’ roll!

There's tons of charisma and character (just checked some of their old live videos) and on the same token, you could say the same about The Ramones, for example. I asked Google's AI to write a poem about Lux and this is what came out:
    Lux Interior, oh Lux Interior,
You were a sight to behold.
Your voice was like a banshee's wail,
And your stage presence was bold.
You were the king of the Cramps,
The band that shook the world.
Your music was a mix of punk and rockabilly,
And it was always a twirl.
    You were a true original,
    And you will be missed.
Your music will live on forever,
And your legend will never be dismissed.
So raise a glass to Lux Interior,
The man who never grew old.
He was a true rock and roll legend,
And his music will always be bold.

Still wonderful. I am lying here trying to pull a piece of broken glass out of my foot arch and using The Cramps as my anesthetic, and am in a good mood!

That gave me flashbacks of something I'd totally forgot about. When I was very young I Was walking barefoot on a beach on the East coast of England, (and you guessed it) accidently walked on a broken bottle.
Still have the scar to show for it.
