Beautiful pen, Jet! The 845 is one of my grail pens...it's so classy and Pilot fine nibs are my favorite. I enjoy the way you did your writing samples. The sound of the nib on paper and the beautiful line it puts down was very satisfying. You've motivated me to go do some scripture writing. 😀

Thank you so much again Cathy for your lovely kind compliments!!! Yes I think that will be awesome if we can write Scriptures down on paper!!!!
Truth to be told, I'm clearing out quite a number of my pens Cathy... Downsizing them actually!!!
Going to curate just a small collection!!!

I have noticed that some have 2 stars on the cap and some other 3, do you know if there is any difference between them?

You maybe looking at a Custom 742 instead with 2 stars at the cap-band area. :)

Is it worth buying custom 845 in comparison to 823?what about build quality and writing experience of the pen?any crack issues with the body of the pen?

The grip feel is slightly different and you are getting urushi. Nib wise, same, as both are Pilot #15 size. Filling system is different as well, Custom 823 is Vacuum, 845 is Converter/Cartridge. So it will depend on your preference really. If you are on budget and you don't need the urushi, go with the 823

@@pen_journal so you dont feel difference between 18k and 14k `?

@@Cortesevasive To be honest, no... It's a personal taste/opinion thing. Theoretically there's a difference in gold content; but it all comes down to the "hand and writing feel."
Some people (including myself) found that certain steel nibs writes better than gold nibs; as their "feel" just feels better; if that make sense :)

Hey no worries George! I didn't mention it in the video. Its Waterman Serenity Blue. A beautiful safe, blue ink with a gorgeous sheen when the ink is saturated. Thanks for watching! :)
