Yay!! I’m so happy it’s helpful ❤️ I was scared to use the terrain tool for the longest time as well and just got into it a while ago. Hope you have fun playing around with it!!
Okay this might be tricky to explain in a written comment but I'll try! If you have a lot with a flat part and a raised up part and you start drawing the wall from the flat (lower) part through the raised part the wall will go through the terrain. However, if you create a raised up part on your lot that also has a couple of tiles that are flat and you start drawing the wall on there, the wall will actually not go trough the terrain but start at that height. So you need to start the wall or the room on the height you want it. So for building a house on a hill you would first raise up the terrain with the terrain tools and then as soon as you have a hill that is to your liking you start placing walls on top of it (: I hope that makes sense!
Knew almost nothing about terrain until this. Thank you for providing all this helful knowledge!
I'm surprised that this video has less than 50K views. This is incredibly helpful and beautifully edited!
Aaah thank you that is so kind of you to say 🩷🥰
There were some really useful tips here!
this is honestly helpful, i’m always a little scared to try this 😅

What would happen if you made a wall through the terrain and then replace it with a fence with the replacing option?
I’m not certain because i’ve never done it but I expect the fence to then “jump up” to the terrain haha
How would you build a house on a hill if walls go through terrain? Using platforms?
