as someone who lives somewhere where its cloudy half the winter, i enjoy the lighting in this video. i can feel the sun through the screen 🥹
Same here. Greetings from Finland 😅
I admire you guys. Northern countries are beautiful, and the people are cultured and warm. But as Colombian who has lived in Italy and currently lives in the Northeastern US, one of the things I appreciate from winters in Philadelphia, even in Chicago where I have also lived, is that they are sunnier than European winters. Even when it's freezing cold, you can feel the warmth of the sun.
I looooove living somewhere with seasons. I looove cool and cold weather, but as a new indoor plant grower, I loooove my full spectrum warm hue grow lights 😅
My apartment is bright and "sunny" even after 4:00pm. Who needs Christmas lights?😂
“I was born with 2 shovels”, classic, lol.
Just the truth 😂💁🏻♂️
Great job with the multi-camera angles in the courtyard, and a fun delivery scene at the end. You're becoming quite the filmmaker! Thanks for another beautiful planty video!
Hehe thank you :) always trying to step up my game 😎
Wowee Jan, are you even in this video? All I see is a giant plant 😂
Haha hiding somewhere behind it :D
That plant is enjoying your grow environment and your TLC. Thanks for sharing a picture of when you first acquired it, from a small cutting to its current beautiful lush growth. Your friend Tim is so very fortunate to inherit part of your well grown plant.
I love how soft spoken you are in this video - is so ASMR'y, So relaxing. x
I love listening to Jan, he is always so relaxing. His accent and his calm tone is just perfect!
The neighbours were in their garden next door so I tones it down a bit haha :D glad u liked it :)
Love the filming of you transporting the monstera at the end.
I dream for you I know nothing of Aussie real estate but I can see you in your dream house with twenty foot ceilings and a wall of northern windows because you are so so talented!!!
Wow! What a huge gift! Thank you for sharing! Enjoyed the walk over to Tim’s front door!❤
What a challenge. Your so patient. If that was me trying to chop and organise , i would have ended up chucking it down on the ground and have a tanty, trying to wrestle the plastic like you did. Thanks for the laugh. Love your videos and oh, your accent its so cute. From Western Australia
Thank you :)
There ya go Timmy 💕
Best ending ever!!
I know I said this on the last video but I absolutely love that courtyard, you’re truly blessed! Great video as always! Someone mentioned they could feel the sun through the screen, it’s cold and gloomy here, I also feel your sun! ☀️
I want a big Ole dubia like this. I love your verticals n your new apt too...its so cute n so you.
I’m amazed at how huge you were able to grow your Dubia! Happy Tim will have half. Thanks for sharing Jan!
Best line..."I was born with two shovels" LOL 🤣
Came here to say this, haha
Nothing but the truth 💁🏻♂️
I haven't gotten to a "chop and extend" yet. So grateful for your guidance here, very inspiring! How mutually convenient to have Tim in the neighborhood. Side note here, I know it wasn't a competition, but your philodendrons on the collab with Roos, reigned Supreme! That was a lot of fun seeing all the different planty people, hope to see you on the next collab with Roos😻
Thank you for the fan. I was starting to feel warm😂. I love that you talk to us like we're ALL crowded inside the camera ❤
You Dubia looks fantastic! I loved seeing the extension of this specific type of moss pole. Once I run out of the ones I'm using, I'll be buying moss poles like these.
Hang on … are u telling me you DON’T all live inside my camera ? :D cheers !!
@@sydneyplantguy 🤣
Wow love the dubia
I love how you style your homes. I have a decent amount of space but I really don't know how to use it!
Thanks :)
I love point and the end point just e to work yes you and your plant because I think sometimes I get to hung up on the potential of my plant forgetting to just enjoy it as it is too. And they are worth admiring.
Big job! we make so much work for ourselves!
Love your videos and your plants!!!! Any chance one day you could show us what fertilizers you use and how you proportion or mix them? I have been doing vertical grows thanks to your videos!😄😁
Thank you :) the nutrients I used are linked in the description of every video :) i use it as per recommendation on the bottle
Nice job showing us a pole extension. Sometimes you do have to wing it a bit. I liked the outdoor filming cause it felt real. Some of my plants are getting to the unmanageable size. Different for all of us. Waiting for a tour, with plants, of your new place.
Putting the pole together first is way easier and much faster. Also, putting the stake at the back of the plant on the outside of the poles will make it easier to zip tie and stabilize the plant and it’s easier when you need to chop and extend or when you want to just add shorter or longer poles.
The garden looks new. The atmosphere is sophisticated and somehow cozy and cool. Monstera Dubia is also nice
Your Dubia has grown into quite the “beast” 😀 Merry Christmas Jan 🎄🎅😀🇨🇦
omg! i just recently got a new two leave cutting of dubia. I hope i can have the same problem as you in couple of years :) thanks for sharing this so i know how to set mine for success
That plant looks beautiful and it’s impressive how large you have grown it💚
Majestic plant ,
Great video outside☀️,crazy weather in sydney rigth now, from very hot to cold and more to come ...
Enjoy this Christmas in your new home🎄✨🏠
💚🍀🌵🌱💚
"STAY!" Like talking to a dog 🤣🤣🤣 love it! I can relate to that, hahahaha!
It’s giving Mr. Bean :D czcams.com/video/qM9XjOfQqpU/video.htmlfeature=shared
The Dubia is probably one of my favorite monsteras you have. Such a beautiful plant.
Chop! Chop! Merry Christmas 🎄 and a Happy New Year! 🥳
Awesome video your new place is so lovely everything turned out just great for you, even Tim living close.Have a lovely Xmas.I appreciate all your knowledge and sharing with us ❤
Thanks :)
Absolutely fascinating! Thanks for the video.
Thank you :)
I really enjoy your videos, thanks so much.
Beautiful New Home and the yard is magnificient 💝
Thanks :)
I found it easier to build the Grow Vertical pole first and leave the overlap untied and trim the mesh beforehand with a quick measurement, worked out a lot easier for me then trying to build the extension on the plant. I also only overlapped two zip tie holes so the next chop and extend is a little easier to manage without having to chop through the pole itself.
Another great video. Thank you ❤❤
Also I can’t recommend hose link enough. Yes, unfortunately you get some leaking, but it happens although it way less than a normal hose connection 😊
Timmy fixed it with skme plumbers tape yay :)
@@sydneyplantguy very nice 😊.
First!🙋🏼♂Sorry, I had to write that!😅But nice Video, like always! I loooove your new garden and i'm looking forward to ,,copy'' your Ikea Greenhouse Cabinet!😁
Greetings
🌿Yan🌿
Thank you :)
Nice to see you settling into your new place and it was lovely to see you on the collab with Roos ❤
Wow! It’s gorgeous! Love the long grow vertical, must order some soon. I really like the greenhouse in this yard! 💚🌿 Natalie
The lighting isn't bothersome, BTWs. 🎀🎄💚Merry Christmas!
So stunning😊
“I was born with two shovels, right?!” 😂
Your Dubai is a beauty!
I’m really eager to try growing my plants on these moss poles you use. Your results are amazing!
Thankyou so much for your informative videos.
Live listening to you Jan.
You’re doing so well for just moving everything and still settling in.
Merry Christmas from Melbourne 🤶
I love growing my plants out but I can’t deal with large plants, lol
Wow, such a beautiful plant! I really want a Dubia now. Would also really love to see another tour of AJ`s greenhouse if your going anytime soon. Would be a nice christmaspresent😇 Are you giving away any plants for christmas this year?
Wow a grower and a shower 😆
Question: Do you worry at all about any cut roots that descended from the top part of the pole down into the lower part and will now die because they're not connected with any stem anymore? Since you keep the pole/moss moist, those dead roots won't be able to simply dry out and not rot, infecting maybe the plant? Thanks and have fun in your new appartment! Cheers from Germany =)
Garden hoses are the bane of my existence...
Thanks again for sharing missed Brad, have a great xmas and New Year. Tim a good mate I'm glad he got your plant. You had a fern from AJ I think its a Phlebodium Aureum Mandalainan. I wanted to know if she has any left? I am finding it hard to contact her. The backing for the grow vertical that you attached does it have pre made holes?
No kidding! I can barely see you next to it😂
Love your videos! Have you considered investing in a pair of wire cutters for those zip ties? Way easier on your hands.😊
I love lush🎉🎉😂❤❤
I want a bottom half 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Have you vacummed the fake grass yet? It's a specialty for me on the weekend 😂
This was such an exciting video. I loved it. I have a question I just purchased two small rooted Thai constellations and three cuttings. How should I go about doing that? Should I put it in moss or what?
I propagate all my monsteras in just water :)
I've got a vericosum at the top of the pole, but only a couple of spots have (barely) rooted into my grow vertical poles.
If I chop it, will I need to cut the loose parts and root in water, or will they manage? Rescue plant so I don't want to stress it too much
😍😍😍🌲🌲🌲
Did you sit the pot on something inside. Or, cut leaves off bottom?
How do you deal with the city water having chlorine in it when you water the poles outside? My tap water (rural area) has a lot of chlorine and as much as I want to spray my poles directly with the hose outside, I worry i'll be giving them too much chlorine :(
So far I haven’t noticed any issues :)
Does the bottom part “reset” after the cutting? Or it doesn’t happen with this variety of monsters?
😍
Hast du schonmal Probleme mit Trauermücken gehabt? Wenn ja, wie bist du dies angegangen?
Lieben Gruß und Danke für deinen Content!
Will the next "chop and extend" not result in a "small" top-part plant because the 2 grow-verticals are not 50/50 in regard to to length of the plant?
I can cut them anywhere I like :)
@@sydneyplantguy hooligan 😀😃🙂.
1) you have very low ceiling height. You should have gotten a home with double floor ceiling in central or main room. 2) or keep your monstera out in oprn in garden area.
Don't know if you see comments from earlier videos Jan, but I had to come back and have another look. I just tried this, my first extension on a grow vertical. What a nightmare! So fiddly, and it looks like a dogs dinner or maybe a dogs leg🙄 Are you overlapping just the plastic back and not the mesh?
Just the plastic :) i cut the mesh so it fits perferctly on top of the old one :)
@sydneyplantguy Thanks. That was my mistake. 😁 Round poles are much simpler aren't they?
lol STAY
