Have the 15PM and haven't experienced any overheating issues.
Same here have a 15 pro max and i have yet to have any overheating issues even when playing games. The phone got slightly warm with all my data was downloading from my old iphone but that’s been the case every year.
u have it for how long now? I planned to buy it I hope I won't regret so I kinda need buyer's opinions cuz overheating might be an issue to me since I'm a gamer
100s of people on Apple own website is reporting the issue. HUNDREDS. Over 12 pages. It exists.
I have major battery drain and overheating on my 15 Pro Max
It’s about clicks bro
I never thought I would go back to my 14 Plus from a 15 Pro M. Dynamic island is dope tho but not to blown away by the camera compared to the 14 Plus (even with the new zooms) Once they release a few more updates, I'll be back to the 15 PM. Battery just drains and I'm doing the 80% charge thing. Peace and love

@@logan594wdym? Is this a real thing?
Thanks for sharing this. I have ordered a pro but it won't be delivered until mid october, so I have eyes peeled to see how this situation unfolds 🔥
Thank you. 🔥
I have a 15 Pro Max and it only gets a little warm when charging like the 14 Pro Max used to get.
What a have a problem with is the battery. It’s not like it was on the 14 Pro Max. I was expecting great battery with this device.
🔥 Really interested to see where this goes. I have used most of the iPhones as my main phones. I agree with the 13PM being the best of them. Had I only known it back then, I would have skipped the 14 PM and now the 15 PM and saved a lot of money.
My 15 PM never overheated in the 5 days I have used it. It got warm once while downloading Apple Music songs and I force reset it just to make any stuck process from running indefinitely. But that was on day 2. All my past iphones displayed a similar behaviour of getting warm every once in a while…
About the scratches. I have put mine in a case the moment I took it out of the box. I wipe it down every two or so days with a “alcoholised” toilet paper (toilet paper with some hand rubbing alcohol sprayed on) to prevent debris from pockets coming between the phone and case. I’ve had some micro scratches on the frame of my black iPhone 14 PM which were caused by the case. And that’s why I went with the natural color this time round.
On day 6 my iPhone PM 15 is still pristine, but probably won’t stay so till next year.
Feel the exact same. LOVED my 13PM but figured that the 14PM would be just as good with a good camera bump. I couldn't have been more wrong or disappointed. But I did keep my 13PM so I can always go back to it if I really wanted to. Upgraded to 15PM and so far, it reminds me more of the 13 than the 14.
The bend test was essentially created because the iPhone 6 used to snap in half.. so it's not the "first time ever" that it doesn't pass the test. But def the first time in a long time. Love the video! Thanks for sharing your experience
Yeah this is what happened people want cheaper repair cost. Just like when you get swappable battery, the waterproof capability will not be as good. And people keep asking Apple to make leaps and bounds improvements on phones and then blame Apple for overheating when they try to improve something drastically. For sure it’s easier for Xiaomi and Vivo to include 120w or 240w charging. Think about how many of those flagship phones do they ship a year vs iPhone pro max models?
@@marg8315 yeah agree it's tough to revolutionize a device every single year especially at that scale
@@victorscsulove the sarcasm
@@marg8315 there was and is always a trade off, slim and light weight vs repairability.
Gluing everything eliminates the need for screws, bolts, nuts, waterproofing gaskets etc.
But there are other players such as samsung who can make flagship with a decent amount of repairability.
So I guess apple can still do better. Competition leads to innovation, being content leads to stagnation
It's the first time an iphone crack its back glass
Are any of these problems present in the base 15 and 15 Plus? Could these issues be resolved in the Pros before the 16?
Really curious what youll have to say abt the 15 pro cos in the battery comparison it has failed miserably.
wait, the first 3.5 minutes was an intro? I was so confused when the logo came up and u introduced yourself😂
😂 long intro?
🔥 just subscribed! Great video.
🔥🔥 Great video RJ. Straight to the point & thanks for the heads up. 👍🏻 Am picking up my iPhone 15 Pro today!
🔥I’m going to stick with the 14 Pro Max till they work out the kinks. Hopefully 16 will be the one! Thank you for the insightful review.
🔥I'm following to see if a software update will really fix the issues with overheating. If these devices are overheating now, what will happen when those power intensive games are released?
🔥 thanks for all your information .
My pleasure!
Personally, I agree that this year belongs to the base iPhone 15 and 15 Plus. The issues seem to be affecting the Pro and Pro Max only. I am guessing it has something to do with the A17 Pro using 3nm tech not working well with iOS 17.
They need to underclock the A17 and forget about benchmarks. Phones are powerful enough we need better battery life
They'd be great options if not for 60hz.
Even in the photo comparisons they are doing amazing vs pros.
I've only charged on an upright mag charger so far. If I ever need to charge "in the field" (traveling), I'll have the provided cable with me to charge via power bank. I'm curious if you had the brightness maxed while charging in the car and simultaneously composing email. I rarely use max brightness.
Loving my iPhone 15 Pro Max. I’ve tried everything and it only ever gets slightly warm. Battery is about the same as my old 13 Pro Max to me.
I use my iPhone 15 Pro Max as a warming plate to keep my dinner warm
I use my iPhone 15 pro max to warm my butt cheeks up in the snow
I use my 15 Pro Max to heat up my cast iron skillet while frying my eggs
Great! Just got yourself a new subscriber.
Have you tried wiping the phone and doing a clean install for iOS? A lot of people report issues transferring data from one phone to the new one - it may be software bug issues with settings from your previous phone.
It got hot when first activating and installing everything but after that its chillin
🔥🔥very interested to hear your full review when it's uploaded. But definitely sticking to my 14 Pro Max for now! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for this 🙏….ill wait for the next iPhone
I updated from an SE Gen 2 after it finally kicked the bucket. Genuinely my favorite phone since maybe the iPhone 5, that being said, I have my concerns with battery especially since I love to take quick pictures and videos. I'm really hoping it isn't an issue that is permanent and is more a software optimization issue.
Great Video as always ❤

🔥 I love your videos, thank you for your efforts and hard work!
Glad you like them!
Do you have a physical sim tray?
why do you wait so long to have your intro, it literally was just before the MIDDLE of the vid 😂
I'm glad that i waited for reviews of the 15 series iPhone before buying it ... Thanks bro 🙄👍
After seeing your over heating review and the Jerry Rig breakage I was inclined to return my unopened 15 pro max to the Apple store. The size, the camera for every day use and the flaws of the 15 pro max put me off. I watched a review of the 15 pro, tried both for 1 1/4 hours in the Apple store and ordered a 15 pro. So thanks for your help. The price decrease of the 15 series in England makes it an easier upgrade. Plus I have been using an 8 plus since launch. And I want the ios 17 support. Thanks again.
🔥Loving your content bro. Keep up the good work.
Appreciate it🙏🏾🙏🏾

Great content!!
🔥 I received a 14 Pro Max as a bday gift this June. Part of me wanted to wait for the 15 Pro Max, but I was using a 7 Plus with a degraded battery so I decided to just accept the 14PM. I’m now glad I did because in my country the temperature averages 35C and I have had the 14PM stop charging at 80% due to heat (I’m glad it’s at 80% because I purposely use automation to keep it at that % max anyway) but the point being that the 15PM would have likely given me a lot of trouble with the heat.
bro thank you for doing these honest reviews. i was about to buy the 15 pro, but luckily i stuck around and watched a few reviews first. looking forward to your review regarding the 15 pro. 🔥
🔥 Sticking with my 13 pro max right now at 88% battery health. I might upgrade the battery sometime in the next year?
I have the 15 pro max and it definitely has gotten super hot a couple of times. But the biggest frustration is that the front camera has this odd focusing issue. If the subject is more than 9” away the focus flutters in and out constantly. It’s super frustrating and now I have to wait until November to get a replacement device because of the demand 🙃
iPhonedo also has a video about the phone overheating and he attributes the problem to Instagram. He opened Instagram, went to his profile, let the app sit there idling, and the phone's temperature kept going up and up. Apparently this happens with the app in the background as well. Maybe that's what's happening to you too? Or maybe some other Facebook app?
Interesting
Tried it didn’t work for me but mine was also in dark mode
We appreciate you brother, I really hope this can be helped with a software update
I hope so too
guys upgrading from iphone 12 . should i go for an iphoen 14 pro or an 15 pro . poeple be saying abt its over heating issues and durability . and yea i do use an case and screen protector every time . THE ONLY THING I CANT DECIDE IS ITS DURABILITY AND HEAT PROBLEM . HOPE SOMBODY HELPS ME OUT
Have had the PM15 for about a week and no heating issues.
oh god you are poor 💩
Interesting to see if or how Apple addresses this. Its strange because not everyone is facing the overheating, I know some tech youtubers like Canoopsy for example have said their unit has been fine. Makes me wonder is it a batch issue? I myself have the smaller Pro Canadian variant and faced no overheating since launch. Great video to keep everyone informed Rjey!
🫡Great video mate🔥. I’m not completely happy switching to the 15 max pro. I had to because the 14 pro was completely dead by 9pm. My old 13 pro max gives me a day and a half. I expected the same with the 15 PMax. But not so good. By 9 pm it is at 36%. Apple says a week of usage the phone learns your behaviour and optimise the battery. I hope it is true. And the over heating is really worrying me. Just few clicks. And using the phone outdoors is a nightmare. I was not able to touch the screen this morning as the phone was unbelievably hot. Hope apple fixes this issue without throttling down the performance.
I have the 15 Pro Max. By 5pm I was below 20% lol I should have kept my 13 Pro max
@@joemichael5155 this is the 4th day. And things are turning out little better now. I let the phone to below 10% and charged it yesterday at 9am. It took a long time though to get to 100%. Typing this today with exact 50% at 6am. My usage was fairly for calls the whole day and very few camera shots. Used CarPlay and made sure it doesn’t charge via wireless. IMO the first day I put the phone on stress by setting up all my accounts login and heavy iCloud transfers. I know it is early to judge but I have a feeling 15Pmax would perform better.
🔥good thing i have not purchased the 15 pro max yet. Will keep on watching for your update. Would probably get mine by November to get more details on which one I would buy. Thanks so much
Havent had any issues with my 15pm getting to hot when using it or charging it. A little hotter maybe when charging but nothing special, about the same as it was on my 14pm.
New subscriber here-
Wanting deeper advice,
I currently have the iPhone 11 Pro Max and when the iPhone 15 Pro Max got released, much like everyone else, I was pretty hyped.... until all these recent concerns evolved and now I worry about upgrading- this weekend. I also considered upgrading to the iPhone 14 Pro Max, mainly cuz I adore the deep purple color but is it worth the risk, from a technological standpoint?
14 pro max is the move this year, if you don’t want to deal with any POTENTIAL issues
@@RjeyTech Update: I got the iPhone 14 Pro Max in Gold, NO REGRETS 🤩
@@chelseajarvis3048 let’s go! Great colour
I have a 13PM and have been experiencing overheating issues. My phone has been unusable while outside this summer. I just think it was a problem they ignored and it keeps getting worse with newer models, which is disappointing considering how much we pay for these phones
Mine isn’t getting hot. What can I test to make it hot?
Which i need to choose iphone 14 PM or 15 PRO
Looking forward for your full iPhone 15 Pro review. Been rocking it for the past 12 hours and I got no issue with it. Heat signature about the same as my previous iPhone 11 and yes our ambient temperature averaging around 30c here. So it should be less noticeable to the touch but in theory it can get throttled much faster than colder climate. But I don't see any throttling yet.
Can you compare the 15 pro to the base 15? This is the first time ever I'm considering getting a base model iphone to avoid the overheating issues. Is it confirmed that the base 15 also has no overheating issues?
No overheating on the base 15
No overheating on the pro max either if you have a faulty phone bring it back .
This is just spicy content to get views . I believe some people have this issue majority don’t
Reason I'm keeping my Sierra Blue 13 pro max. I never had any problem with this phone and even @ 86% battery life I'm still getting 9 to 12 hours SOT. I game a lot but my phone does not overheat. It feels warm only when I take videos but nothing strange about it. I believe the 13 pro max was the best iphone ever created.
True the 13 pro max was peak iPhone, battery/performance/etc. they only added dynamic island and a newer chip that isn't stable. Maybe the 16 or 17 series will get better but the 13 pro max will always be a worthwhile phone, and it only costs 750 bucks here its such a great deal
Wait I’m confused so is it only the 15 pro and pro max that are overheating or all the iPhone 15 models overheating? I’m trying to get a regular iPhone 15…
15PM here, no overheating and no battery issues… return it and get a new one as its not every unit
I’m testing the 15 PM and Yesterday I wasn’t able to charge it cus it just didn’t charging with any usb c cable so I had to restarted it and it went to normal but it gets hot while is plugged to the charger. I might return it and wait another year.
Thanks for the truth 🙏✌️🇨🇦 new subscriber 👍✌️🇨🇦
Got the iPhone 15PM on Monday and haven’t had a single overheating event. The back gets slightly warmer while wireless charging and it was a little warm when it was downloading everything from iCloud. Other than that, nope. Hours of Pokemon Unite, Mario Run, Candy Crush, no overheating or even getting warm. It runs pretty cool for me. 🤷🏽♂️ I also did a geek bench test before and after the latest update and they thankfully haven’t throttled the A17 Pro chip.
Idk, seems like the overheating is blown out of proportion and a very small batch of phone under very specific conditions.
Saw this online and I thought it was cap... But now seeing your video... I believe 😂 3:35
The natural titanium model doesn’t have a coloured coating so scratches won’t show up like they do on the other colours.
I think Rjey got a defective iPhone 15 Pro Max *** Or maybe not? But the internal frame is aluminum… So is it the titanium?
I have the 15 pro a good phone, but i think the battery is not the best so for and mine has overheated abit while charging, i think that will be fixed in software update. However i have decided to return it as I still have my 14 pro max, its not that different but did like the phone
Thank you for the video, but why are you promoting a phone case that doesn't have a click cover for the action button? Or they made the first batch of cases thinking that the 15 Pro / Pro Max will have a mute switch?
Why do you think? Because they paid him. I’ll promote staring at the sun if the sun pays me
Good video 👍🏽🔥
Try to pinpoint the cause, you can see it from battery usage. Maybe one of the app are acting up in the background. My dad have issue with battery drain on older model to find out that whatsapp is the culprit. Then I disable the app and update it to newer version and the problem is gone.
🔥 great vid thnk you very much. Was gonna get max for the first time but think ill pass if its not as big as a problem on the regular pro. #Tdot
💧 15 Pro owned for five days, only got warm during initial setup, never again
Is it overheating on 4g as well?
Wow I am nervous now I just purchased the iPhone 15 pro max. Thank you for the videos R jay.
I’ve noticed my battery only really drains when I’m on FaceTime that something they’ll iron out with some iOS updates I’m sure but battery life is sturdy doesn’t really get too hot
Guys can somebody tell me on the battery drain performance I mean how long it goes on if m playing bgmi in one go
Coz m planing to buy one 15 pro max
Did the promax really fail the bend test? I know the back glass broke, but jerry continued the bend test and the front screen and rest of the phone survived.
I have the same overheating issues n stop charging issues with the IPhone 14 Pro Max. It just started about 2 months ago
Did u use the iPhones unc cable or a 3rd party ?
I just picked up the 15 Pro Max 512 gb , it came out of the box with iOS 17.0.2 and Battery date of August /23.
Did not get hot at all during setup or downloading all apps and tons of photos/vids from iCloud. I keep originals on the device too.
Barely warm at all to the touch during and when completed. Had it plugged in to Apple 12w brick with usb to usbc cable all night Never got warm and charged perfectly.
I’ve also streamed Hulu and Netflix over 5g for a couple hours , played a few Apple Arcade games , took some pictures and videos and it stayed pretty cool. But….. the first 15 PM 256gb I got right after launch and returned got real warm during set up ,and would get real warm randomly, and charging, not real hot but real warm.
So this new one is definitely acting differently for the better. I’m loving it.
Mine only got warm while transferring data from my old device.
I'd love to see a full review of the regular 15 pro because it's the one I consider buying as an upgrade from my XR. I like 15 as well but the 60hz screen is a bit odd, and I want to feel something different)
Had to cancel my order for the 15 pro until I get a sense of what's been happening
I regret being an early adopter, I upgraded to the 15 pro max and have been regretting it ever since JREs bend test video, I keep thinking it’ll snap in half with any amount of weight.
Don’t worry. Use it like any phone. 🤷🏻♂️
@@Granfoss I really shouldn’t worry lol i baby my phones but the complaints seem to be piling up with this new phone.
@@MrPanda-yq4qu Most of it are tech channels and influencers trying to clickbait people.
a lot of its clickbait lol no one bends there phone like that
Are you seriously going to try to bend your phone, come on. Bend tests make no sense to me cause you’re bending glass lol go grab a glass cup and try to bend it, see what will happen lol.
I think if you just use it as it’s intended, you’ll be fine
My iPhone 15 pro does get really hot but when charging mag safe or wireless charging, when I charge with usb c it’s just warm that normally but when I use mag safe gets really hot
iPhone 15 ProMax delivered yesterday, before I even turned it on…I had screen protector and camera lens protectors on…then slipped into its new Otterbox symmetry case…and since then, I haven’t put it down! Even being hugged by my giant meaty hands…hours of CZcams, gaming, news…no extra heat felt at anytime. The phone feels great in hand and with all of the protection on it…feels sturdy and safe. I have used cases on my cellphone since my first one…1997 Nokia, and have never had a catastrophic failure.
I got the 15p and I can tell you that sometimes it does get hot (with intense usage) but definitely not as hot as 100 degrees f
I’m very interested in what the update to fix these issues entails
Throttling
Got my 15 pro max on launch day and haven’t experienced any overheating issues yet. However I have noticed the battery life is not as good as I would’ve thought. Coming from the 14 pro, i would say the battery is about the same in my opinion.
tbf it’s using a stronger chip so any improvements in battery life will be negated by the chip’s increased power
Have the 15 Pro Max… no issues with it so far.
Do you think keeping the phone out of a case (particularly while charging) may help with the heat issues?
It’ll help for sure, but I don’t consider that a fix
Depends on where you are exactly when charging the phone. Ideally, you would like to charge the phone without the case for it to breath. But I just use a portable fan while charging it instead of removing the case.
@@RjeyTech agreed. Certainly not a fix.
It will definitely help.
This overheating problem is also happening on my new iPhone 15 (non pro). Same scenario as you, charging in the car, as well as just using the camera without the charger. Could this be a software bug?
Is it actually overheating though? Overheating means the phone gives a warning that the temperature is too hot and shuts off. My iPhone 12 Pro gets hot from the car charger but doesn’t overheat…
@@DaveTadrosya for sure, the phone gives me a warning with the thermometer symbol and everything. Also when I charge it it at some point stops and says it’s got to cool down before it continues charging
Pretty much every android I've ever owned has gotten up around the 40c area. But only my note 7 was too hot to hold while plugged in.
No over heating on my pro max. But during FaceTime the volume button area got extremely hot. Anyone else have this issue?
🔥I'm optimistic that this situation resolves soon, especially since I've eagerly anticipated upgrading for four years. Transitioning from my iPhone 11 to the iPhone 15 Pro Max is a significant step, and it's disheartening to hear this news. I appreciate you sharing your experience, and I'll eagerly follow your updates moving forward-before making my purchase.

Same💀iPhone 11 right now , I was ready to upgrade and I have it pre-ordered still but now that I hear these issues idk if I should cancel my pre-order.
Same situation pls reply already purchased ones
I have an iPhone 15 pro and it doesnt over heat for me perhaps this is a manufacturing issue for some iPhone hard to know yet, in my experience no overheating
Its hard to follow what is going on but, foxcomm said that they had problems with the 15 pro max and the others company that made it had zero problems. They have no cooling for the A17 and titanium get hot easily, so i dont see anything coming to help soon enough.
Been having major heat issues when charging or gaming
I've had my 15PM for a week and haven't experienced any overheating issues. I play COD mobile for extended periods of time at max settings, sometimes while charging, and it only ever gets slightly warm. I've also never had an issue with it getting too hot while charging via USB-C with any cable I have laying around.
I wanted the 15 pro, is this issue more common on the pro max or is it both? I don't see many talking about it on the pro.
I m on a searching for a new phone phase at the moment. Generally pros don't have so good battery as plus or Maxs. So if you are a medium to light user and don't care about battery take the pro for the pro camera. On the other hand if you like being confident about your battery life prefer the 15plus or 15pro max or 14pro max!!

I have a 15 pro. And som times it gets insanely hot. Yesterday it got so dam hot just by talking on the phone so o cold not hold it in to my ear. I had to use speaker.
Apparently some specific apps like Instagram haven’t been properly optimised, it relates to ios17 and has shown to have issues on earlier phones too, so it looks like an early software rather than hardware problem.
Bro, 100 degrees Fahrenheit is about how hot a human body is. If you touch yourself, do you feel overheated?
