Hello from Brunswick Ga. USA. Your video are clear, not fuzzy. I enjoy listening to you and watching you do your work on grinding your opals. Thanks for sharing.
When your an artisan, you want all the jobs to go right. When it doesn’t, aagghh! But you soldier on. Your experience grows. As you said at the end about the handful of stones, for me, spoke volumes. You can see the potential quicker. Just think of all the adoration & smiles your work has given countless people around the globe. I would be proud & so should you be. To see a master turn a rough stone into a masterpiece is something special.
I'm sorry I missed yet again. But omg Justin, Tippy is so cute. Looking forward to your video tonight. It's 10:40pm. We're expecting freezing rain storm in the morning. Love your videos very much. 😊❤⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I always enjoy your video's and tippy is a cutie pup. Thankfully covid is losing its grip here in the states, except new strains are showing up. I hope it just fades away and goes away. I love to watch you cutting beautiful opal because it's takes my mind off of all the madness.thank you again.
That was an interesting video Justin, you cant win em all. Thank you Black Opal Direct its good to see the reality of opal cutting. Look forward to next video.
Even when a huge stone with amazing potential breaks into smaller pieces literally shattering the hope for a gorgeous huge stone, somehow, someway, you manage to still stay positive and create beautiful opal gems out of what would otherwise totally dishearten me. You said that we need to "work with what we've got" and that couldn't be truer. You're an inspiration, and arguably an artist with the way you cut opal! Thank you for your content, your positivity, and for making all our lives better just by being you ✌🏻 we love you and all you do! Tell the ladies I said hi hahaha. God bless, brother
Thank you. Yes some days are not as good as others. But this is reality and their is no point just sharing the great days otherwise it would be untrue and an imbalance. Kind words my friend
That blue one with the black potch inside was really intriguing! The pattern was so cool!! I love how it came out despite it not being what people typically want in an opal!
I just wanted to say that you got me into cutting opals myself and I love watching and trying to get something close to the gems you cut. Thankyou again for the video! Love the work you do.
Funny thing is we are in May and had snow 5 days ago. We are still going below freezing temps on some nights. It is a ratger interesting spring to say the least. I could be here every day to watchvyiu cut opals. I do like how you can take certain stones and figure out how to cut them to their finest potential. I still see many stones that if I owned them would be in specimen jars.
The best part was when he said hey everybody and the dog could from the words and the tone that he was talking to someone. Itlooked up like it expected to see someone.
Mate i just got in touch with these opal gems by watching you videos! I find them really amazing and i need to own one soon much love and greetings from the netherlands!
That blue/Violet/purple on grey or black is the most beautiful colour of opal in my eyes. Even though red on Black is most valued, the blue purple is so sublime and deserves glory.. You're a great craftsman Justin.
Watching on catchup- more cracks today than I've seen in all three BOD vids combined.... crazy! Always interesting to see how the stones play out, unusual patterns and color. :)
Hi Justin from cold Minnesota in the U.S. we woke up to -20 fahrenheit that would translate to about -29 celsius. Hopefully tommorow we will be back up to zero! Loving your channel! Watching you reveal each opals beauty is exciting and relaxing at the same time!
Hello ,Those split cracks reassured me as i worked on a broad pear shape i was preforming did split on me too ,The super power of smaller stones is my best alternative so back to my wheel im to go ,Great video thanks Justin 💫💯🖤👌.
Turn the volume down. Problem solved! Everyone wins! I love watching the emotions come out in your hands. I swear I can see your thought process and how slow I would be in making those split second decisions you make. I saw a little frustration on a certain stone but a quick recover. I saw none of this the first time I watched it though. As I watched it a couple of times, it became amazing. Good job and thanks for bringing us along❤
Thank you for sharing this with me ! Sorry that there wasn't many good size Opals come out of this bunch ! Take care , stay safe and healthy with whatever you and the Ladies maybe doing next !
The "bad" opal at the end, the yellow one, could you maybe put it in a bottle with glycerine, like a floating opal pendant? You could use all of your tiny but great color ones in little glass pendants. I have one that is vintage, it's still pretty fire-y.
Love all the small stones ❤ I think they all will be absolutely perfect in wedding rings or engagement rings (well, I would love a little stone in a ring anyway. Big stones gets stuck everywhere. But they are nice to ) :)
Sorry I missed the live feed. I feel better that I'm not the only one that has days where none of the stones work out as expected. Of course mine aren't opal. In Yuma, AZ. This week. Be safe and stay healthy 😷⚒
The amount of cracks in almost every piece makes great potential for a mosaic jigsaw puzzle on an oval setting filled with black epoxy. Bad luck on that parcel.
I liked the stream a lot! It may not be the most profitable day for you, but some of the stones are really beautiful, especially the little crystal in my opinion. Keep it up!
Wonderful video as usual it would be nice when you start a piece of rough if you could give us and idea of how much you paid for the piece of rough or what a good price would be that would help us thank you...
Don't feel bad about not having a crazy stone reveal, Justin. I found the cracking opals to be SUPER interesting. Also it makes us appreciate the super special gems when they come around. ;)
Thanks for the buying tip 😀 If you keep the green/brown opal on your desk it would be cool if you showed it again in a few months so we can see what happens to it.
Sorry that I missed the live show ! It's been crazy here with the extreme cold weather here ! We set a new record of the number of days of extreme cold weather here ! It makes it hard to take care of my horses trying to help keep them warm ! The states of Kansas , Oklahoma , Missouri, Arkansas and Texas are talking about rotating power outages across these states ! The Wing Turbines got so cold that they froze up ! There might be a few other states that might be doing that also ! Right now at 2:31am the morning of the 16th it's -11° F and feels like -11° F !
No amazing results today, but I felt like I watched a good half hour of craftsmanship. Also, learned a lot about opal crack issues. Would it help to soak them in water and then freeze them to filter out the stones that will crack? Keep on.
Justin when you have to leave a hole in your stone, rather than cutting around it or putting another stone to fill it in, can you polish the hole and see if it blends with the surrounding material.

I love watching your videos! Every time you touch a stone to the wheel it's like Christmas morning!
It is 6° at my house in South Texas and our power has been off with no heat for over 24 hours. Your smile warned my evening a little bit.❄😏
Have been watching that! I hope you have power soon. Stay warm!!🙏💜
So sad to miss the livestream but happy I get to see more opal cutting! I hope your doing well justin and team :)
That was an interesting video Justin, you cant win em all. Thank you Black Opal Direct its good to see the reality of opal cutting. Look forward to next video.

@@blackopaldirect No offense but were you on "crack" while you sorted this week's parcel for the live? LOL!
I love a lot of the really little stones, as a ring crafter ~ I see so many ideas come to life from them :)
Used to have a black Cocker Spaniel years ago...best rescue dog ever...learned something about cracks and brown tints..good video
Great but too short of a live stream. I love Justin's calm, philosophical takes on the gems. He's the Jordan Peterson of the gem world.
Hi Justin & Friends! I missed the livestream but did watch it after. Great as usual.
That blue one with the black potch inside was really intriguing! The pattern was so cool!! I love how it came out despite it not being what people typically want in an opal!
Justin that was crazy with the cracks. Got some little beauties though. And thanks for the tip about opals
Thank You Boss👍👍👍 I appreciade all your brilliant work👌🇦🇺💙🇳🇴
🙏❤️
Nice to see you consulting the expert. Very cute. Great stuff. Love your video and the opals. I am late to the party so I missed the live stream.
Darn, missed your live stream again!!!
I think I’m gonna put coming down to Australia to see you “live” cutting an opal on my bucket list
Thank you for giving us the hard facts! We can always trust you to tell it straight! Sorry it wasn't a winner of a day, but you win in love!
I just wanted to say that you got me into cutting opals myself and I love watching and trying to get something close to the gems you cut. Thankyou again for the video! Love the work you do.
Welcome and thank you Natasha

The best part was when he said hey everybody and the dog could from the words and the tone that he was talking to someone. Itlooked up like it expected to see someone.
Can't believe i missed this 😭
Been a horrible day to say the least .. at least i still get to watch the catch up

That blue/Violet/purple on grey or black is the most beautiful colour of opal in my eyes. Even though red on Black is most valued, the blue purple is so sublime and deserves glory.. You're a great craftsman Justin.
Gotta appreciate Justin giving the world a reason to luck forward to mondays.
The tiny matching stones would make a beautiful pair of earrings!
Beautiful Cocker!! My favorite breed! Thanks for sharing both the cutting and a pretty pup!!
Attractive tiny opal pieces. Terrific. 👍
Even the flawed ones look gorgeous.
G'day mate, I've learnt so much from you. You're a great mentor to me. I respect you hey. Opals saved my life
I loved that blue one even with the cracks
Watching on catchup- more cracks today than I've seen in all three BOD vids combined.... crazy! Always interesting to see how the stones play out, unusual patterns and color. :)

I love your videos; there so fascinating! You never know what is going to appear out of a stone. Love it. Thank you for showing us.
Cold snowy blizzard going on here in North East Ohio tonight. Good time to snuggle up in a chair and watch you cut some opals.
Absolute BEST way to spend a snowy spell!! 😊. I wonder if Justin knows how well appreciated he is!! He is a GEM!🤣
Yes but you are a winner!!!
You should put that last opal and others like it in resin, make a nice paperweight.
The master. Love your videos.
Beautiful BLUE 😍 SUCH BEAUTY 💙💙💙
Oh. No! Such a glorious color!
Hello ,Those split cracks reassured me as i worked on a broad pear shape i was preforming did split on me too ,The super power of smaller stones is my best alternative so back to my wheel im to go ,Great video thanks Justin 💫💯🖤👌.

Send it to BenWorx. He does some really cool stuff including “dragon eggs”. I imagine that could be quite nice in one.
That is a BEAUTIFUL dog
Extremely beautiful stones..even with all its imperfections
Well the positive out of a pretty stone with crack is that more people get to enjoy the beauty of that piece
Love all the small stones ❤
I think they all will be absolutely perfect in wedding rings or engagement rings (well, I would love a little stone in a ring anyway. Big stones gets stuck everywhere. But they are nice to ) :)

Very Well Done Justin. 🇺🇸

I love Sedona. My fav place in Arizona
I love how cold the water stays year round
Wacky cracky opals lol 😂 reminding me of coober
Wish I was there, it's 7 degrees F here lol
The opals had really good color a change from blue and green.
Small stones are just as beautiful as large ones there is no bad opal 😊
110,000 subs? Congrats!! 🙂👏
Cutest dog ever love you so much 💕
I would love to have that first Opal !
Just had a similar experience with cracks. Gotta love it
I really loved the smal one with the crack in it, the crack just made it that more special in my eyes :) 💜🤍💜
Sorry I missed the live stream. Still interesting to see how unpredictable opals are.
I liked the stream a lot! It may not be the most profitable day for you, but some of the stones are really beautiful, especially the little crystal in my opinion. Keep it up!
Man, that color is insane! I hop that sand doesn't kill it
I get 🫦 nervous too
Wonderful video as usual it would be nice when you start a piece of rough if you could give us and idea of how much you paid for the piece of rough or what a good price would be that would help us thank you...
Cheers from California.
Don't feel bad about not having a crazy stone reveal, Justin. I found the cracking opals to be SUPER interesting. Also it makes us appreciate the super special gems when they come around. ;)

Wow! A truly sophisticated new opal polishing technique! Have the dog lick the stones!!!! (just kidding!!!!) Well done, as alway!
Thanks for the buying tip 😀
If you keep the green/brown opal on your desk it would be cool if you showed it again in a few months so we can see what happens to it.
Yes, I missed it too. It was an exercise in humility. Man proposes God disposes!
True

Its snowed 6" in 4 hours had to go to the store sorry I missed the stream:(
With that last stone, the yellow green one, if/when it does crack from sitting on your desk, can you do an up date?
I was hoping for the same thing.😁
No amazing results today, but I felt like I watched a good half hour of craftsmanship. Also, learned a lot about opal crack issues. Would it help to soak them in water and then freeze them to filter out the stones that will crack? Keep on.

You do wonders with those stones
Wow
