Thanks to Greene beetle for the idea • Forging a Spike & Rasp... - Zábava
Im 65 years old and just starting blacksmithing made about 40 knifes now and I get lots from your channel, thanks
Nice knife! Just got my first forced air propane forge going. Vietnam combat vet, just turned 70!! Brand New to forging.
I'm about to start making blades in the UK, I have to admit your channel is brilliant, I have very limited tools and equipment, I will be using no more than a sledgehammer anvil and a coal forge. Keep up the good work!
I like how direct you are, all of your videos and full of information.
One of the prettiest Bowie knives I’ve seen
Thanks for the video. Bummer about the crack. Shit happens. Never made a knife or forge welded so living vicariously through CZcams.
Like the way you don’t over narrate your videos. Short sweet and to the point. Keep it up.
Really like it. Very marauder esk. I like the way you explain your technique, Short, sweet and to the point
I like your no nonsense, no bullshit attitude. It's very refreshing.

Too bad about the crack. Nice knife all the same. Glad to see that you are growing fast.
Watchin this again as i do with all ur videos. I found that if u quench the head of the spike the apply wrench there u can get the twist the length of the spike. Made mine look bettet
Thats one badass looking knife! Looks great with the use of the rasp.
This knife is absolutely STUNNING ❤️ let’s see if it will come to either my collection or my husbands! 🤣

V.cool knife and process, pity about the crack but water quench is a tightener. Best of luck, keep up the good work bud.
Right on! I've been looking for a video demonstrating this. ThankQ!
Sweet knife...keep the videos coming. I'm feeling lucky.
Your quenching technic is so badass , Direct in the water
Just found your channel and have seen a few vids. I enjoy them and like the way you work.
I'm in Kentucky. I like the design of the knife. Hopefully I win it. I have a nice piece of leather for it.
Try quenching in salt water...it may be a way to stop the cracking...fantastic idea for making a knife though.
Trying to catch up on some of your videos. That is an awesome blade. Thank you John, you are an inspiration to me . ✌
Great blade brother. Just a thought, no reason to worry about FBI or any law agency. It is and has always been our right to own tools or weapons.
: Awesome knife. It looks like east indian and hollywoodish. Love your vids. Very informing as i 'am just starting out blacksmithing. Keep them coming. Thanks.
Love this blade, I’m totally in!!! I’m looking to try some forge welding, this looks like a good project to start with.

Awesome knife, really interesting process. Would love one.
Great video. Really nice knife.
Wow, I love that knife, great job.
That really sucks working a blade up to that stage just to have to scrap it. I feel for ya, bro!
Looking good bub. Your definitely making some cool stuff
Beautiful knife! It might be a good idea to let the steel air harden and see if it will harden. If not then go to oil harden quench. And if it still won't get hard then go to water quench.
Nice looking blade!
That things awesome bub. Love your channel. Keep it up.
Great knife ... pirate bowie and I wonder if you could do anything with the other knife if you cut the blade at the crack? Could you make a smaller knife with the piece on the handle and another knife with the longer piece
Brian Sheehan with the steel already ground so thin it’s not worth the trouble to try to attempt to salvage it. Better just to start over
Old Hickory Forge shame you had so much work done ... but you have a great attitude ... say fuck it and start over .. enjoying your videos and here's to the next couple of thousand subscribers
