You know...there has been theories that it was one of the Thutmose pharaohs that was Moses and that the one that was his Egyptian brother was a different Pharoah and not Ramses II but most archeologists did think it was Ramses II. Its due to one of the Pharoahs of Egypt had a similar experience of events much like of Moses including his own self-exile after killing an Egyptian supervisor for his cruel treatment of the workers to defend an innocent man. Its crazy....I dont 100% believe it as its not been proven concrete yet but evidence is pointing to it. Ironically Thutmose name translates to Moses in some translations in forgotten languages. Thats another connection.

@@michaeldillon8217 God wasn't the one who killed the first born, it was the Angel of Death.
Putting blood on their doorposts was a sign of obedience.
It should be noted that some Israelites did not put blood on their doorposts and the first born died, and also that some Egyptians put blood on their doorposts and were spared like the rest of the Israelites.
It's because they were obedient, and did what God told them to do, that made God spare the ones who put blood on their doorposts.
Maybe to you, obedience isn't a value you hold, but, just like a parent asks for obedience from their child in order to keep that child safe, God asks for obedience.

    Historically, in approximately 1486 BC:
Prince Moses approached behind the torturous Egyptian, checked his surroundings for no witnesses to straight-up pummel that taskmaster to death and hide his corpse in the sand. Moses then tried to play it casual after rescuing the wounded and frightened Hebrew who later snitched on Moses to the others, causing to put a target on Moses' head by the Pharaoh which urged the Ex-Prince Moses to run for his life from Egypt over to Midian.
(Of course the film can't go that direction, just to avoid a PG-13 rating.)

How I think the conversation between them might go if Moses decided to stay:
Rameses: Moses, calm down. You're overreacting.
Moses: Overreacting?! I've just discovered the most horrific news of my entire life, and you think I'm overreacting?! I just killed someone Rameses! How am I supposed to live with myself after all of this?!
Rameses: Moses, remember what I said before. When I become Pharaoh, I can wipe the slate clean, and make it seem as if this never happened.
Moses: But it did happen, Rameses! You may be able to pretend this didn't happen, but I can't!
Rameses: I don't understand why you're so hung up about this. Is this because of that slave girl from the other night?
    Moses: Her name is Marriam!
Rameses: Marriam, sure. So, why are you so fixated of this slave anyway? Do you want to marry her or something? Because if so, I don't think Father would allow even you to do that.
Moses: What? No, that's sick! She's my sister, Rameses!
Rameses: Sister? Oh please, Moses, you barely know her.
Moses: You don't understand! You realize I have gone my whole life being cruel and dismissive to these people, and had no clue that I was one of them? Do you realize that I am coming to realize that I was born as property?! I can't just walk out onto my balcony, look out across the vast desert sands, see thousands of people who look so much like me toiling away endlessly under pain of sale or execution; my brother, my sister, my family, and just pretend that I'm okay with their suffering! I can't live with the fact that the only reason I wasn't one of those babies that were fed to crocodiles, or one of those slaves helping build Pharaoh's glorious kingdom, was because my enslaved mother was willing risk everything to make sure I would not have to spend my days cowaring from an overseer's whip! I am not okay, Rameses, and I don't think I will ever be okay!
Rameses: I can see that you are quite distraught over all this, Moses. Frankly, I consider this whole ordeal to utterly ridiculous, but because you are my brother, I may be able to help you feel better.
Moses: And how exactly do you think you can manage that, Rameses?
Rameses: I can see to it that those two slaves you've become so attached to will be assigned as your personal servants by morning. That way you can spend as much time with them as you want. How does that sound?
Moses: As much as I appreciate the offer, Rameses, I don't think that will help me. I want them to be freed from bondage.
Rameses: Freed from bondage? As in not slaves anymore?
Moses: Yes. And not just them. Everyone. All of the Hebrews that Pharaoh owns.
Rameses: Okay, I was willing to humor you before, Moses, but now you're talking nonsense. Freeing the slaves would bring the entire dynasty to ruins. What you are suggesting is utter maddness!Father would be absolutely furious!
    Moses: But Rameses-!
Rameses: No, Moses! I will not allow this childish game to destroy what our father, and his father, and his father before him have built! I will not be the weak link in the chain of our great dynasty! Goodnight, Moses. I will send one of the servants to take to you the healers first thing in the morning. Clearly, you have been cursed with some sickness of the mind for you to even think of such blasphemous things. I wish you well, brother. (Leaves the bedroom.)
Moses: (Sobs quietly.) I cannot stay here anymore. I love you Rameses, but I can't live with this. I won't be going to the healer tomorrow. Mother, Marriam, and Aaron, I hope you can one day forgive me for this.
