@@midgetman4206 its only 7 years older than the f22 raptor. Dont forget that they are constantly upgrading them. These aren't cars, its not like they can just trade them In. There are Billions of dollars that go into the R&D of these planes and for the US Military's Flagship Airplanes like the B2 Stealth Bomber, The F22 Raptor, F35, the different drones etc.. They keep them in service as long as they are still capable of holding air superiority, and if all it takes is an upgrade here and there to maintain that, then so be it. Its much cheaper and easier than having a new plane built every time one becomes a little dated. Because remember, its not like they're only replacing a few of them, they'd have to replace hundreds if not thousands of them.
and even much older planes like the A10 Warthog, I believe theres still even some B52 stratofortraces still in service. They still do the job they were built for.
Its mainly just the Fighter Jets that are in a constant Arms Race and are always being outclassed by other Countries, Causing the US to have to have to keep building better and better jets. Itll be drones that are done like that next.

Back in the early 2000's near Nellis air force base one flew over us it was so low I could read the numbers on the bottom ill never forget that moment looked up in the sky amazed
I used to live near an AFB. My mother and I were driving home, stopped at an intersection at the end of a highway exit ramp that just so happened to line up reasonably well with the runway some ways ahead.
We didn't even hear the damn thing. A shadow rushed across the car and seemed to jump up into the sky ahead.

My grandpa looked over my shoulder saw this and got teary eyed. He told me he was in the Air Force when they first introduced the B2. He got the privilege to work on them a lot. Spent most of his 1500 hours flying c130s though. Awesome vid!

For something that was desinged to be "invisible" that thing looks intimidating as hell! Not flashy or OTT, but sleek, compact and deadly efficient, like an atomic scalpel of the skies.
designed to be invisible to radar not to normal wavelengths of light, but to be fair even in normal light the thing is so thin you can barely see it at all until its too close for that to matter :D

It's not efficient at all. That wing profile is not ideal for lift, the computer has to constantly trim it, or it would fall out of the sky. It's shaped to have a low radar profile, not the best for lift at all.

@Let's Get This Over With except that every other country is lagging so badly in stealth tech that the US is THE leading developer of it so it really doesn’t matter how old it is. Though apparently congress does think it matters since the B-21 is being developed.Also the A-10 only flies in areas with no AA. It’s obviously not meant to fight against in areas with no air superiority.
I was stationed at an airbase where T-38 are common. I even got to see the F-22 fly. Also the A-10, but what I wanted to point out is that this aircraft is STUPID quiet!
Like even the T-38s are single engine aircrafts and this is somehow more silent. Truley an engineering marvel.

It's not really about detecting stealth planes, there are radars known to detect them with different radar waves, only it won't be enough to hit it, have a lock on it.. Unless the pilots make mistakes. Also a big bomber like this wouldn't have any trouble taking out anything on the surface from far away, with hard to catch missiles like Jassm, Lrasm, Harm-er etc. @@georgemavrides3434

One of the coolest planes to ever be created. Its mere design is something worth talking about.
Small, radar reflective Armour. Can bypass a few older radar systems. Carries a small bomb or 2. Painted black. Probably pyramid shaped to display a cult gangsign rather than function. Has 2 wing flaps an a thruster. Smaller version of the Phoenix lights/aurora. Has 3 wheels. Did I miss anything 😜
