You could attach a pepper spray inside you car and have it be triggered by one of those cheap alarms that activate when your glass is shattered. Of course, you will need 4 of each for every window, but both the pepper spray and the alarms are not that expensive. You will have to know a bit of electrical stuff though.

If I lived in Connecticut I would get a Steering wheel lock, they can be pretty pricy but it’s far cheaper than the increased cost of insurance if your car is stolen and they, unlike KIAs, apparently, are built not to be broken into.

46:20 sure, but also the countries with the lowest relapse criminals have a rehabilitation system instead of just long and harsh sentences, if a lets say 20 y/o does a crime and gets a 10 year sentence and he then comes out of prison and tries to get a job but fails to do so due to his past mistakes he will most likely turn to crime because he "has no choice" , and another scenario is someone who believes that when they recieve a punishment like that their life is already over so no point in trying to reform. (a 20 year old isnt fully developed in the brain so someones aware of consequences and risks isnt fully developed)
The best way is to have some sort of rehabilitation system to prevent relapse, America hasnt been able to recreate the same systems used in many countries in Europe, but longer and harsher sentences wont work.

I will always advocate for a society built on trust, strong central culture, and shame. Yeah it can be overbearing sometimes in places like here in Japan but overall it’s worth it. When society sees you as literal garbage for becoming a criminal you get your act together or are removed from the equation as a whole so as not to ruin anything for anyone else. And in the meantime kids actually learn how to function properly and respect others. As a result I never have to watch my back anymore or worry about getting shot or have my shit stolen. Even if it does I’ll get it back quickly.

I'm sorry if this sounds a little dumb, but in UK something happens to your car your insurance premium increases even if it wasn't your fault and you legally have to disclose this type of stuff or it can be voided.
