Cyndi was on her way home, when she saw a little creature on the road. She stopped the car and saw it was a baby squirrel. Cyndi couldn't leave her there, so she took her home. A few months later she rescued another squirrel, but two new siblings had a hard bonding time at first. It all changed when one day Cyndi got back from work and saw Sammy and Barkley cuddling together. Since then they are inseparable.

Squirrels always made me happy seeing them running around and tree hopping on my street in Brooklyn N.Y. When I was 11 years old in 1967, we had a squirrel hang out in our backyard until my neurotic mother had my neighbor illegally shoot the squirrel in front of me. I flipped out and never let my mother forget what she did. Way too many people can't see the magic in every living being... These two are just amusing love rockets !!!
The companionship of animals when dealing with severe depression can be so uplifting. People in misguided attempts to help will point out what you do wrong or what you need to be doing to get better. Our animal friends accept us for who we are and engage without recommendations or criticism.
I always say, my bunnies saved me. They keep you motivated to look after them, and give you love and stop you being sad or depressed all the time. These 2 beautiful squirrels made her life so much better, and she did theirs too. Perfect symbiosis! 🥰

I think it's great that all three of you got together. I doubt you could have a bad day with these two around. And what a great play and living area you have created for them. They are loved and loving, that is for sure.
Squirrels have always cheered me up. Just watching them play with a branch and doing tumbles out of joy makes me smile.

I get it totally I lost my beautiful 27yr old daughter charley to breast cancer on 11/23/19...an I came across some stray cats an I started caring for them an rescuing them an one even walked right in my home 10 hrs after my child died an she came out of no where. Her name is sammy lol my sam sam I call her. I live alone an these beautiful creatures gave me a purpose to wake up everyday an still do.
