Turin really had the worst spawn on that 1st game, basically every part of his island could be hit from any shore. Jarin really could’ve won if he secured his island better before going wonder, his spawn was perfect.
It’s also hilarious that a historically landlocked nation has one of the best navies in the game lol
In that last game… HRE is playing Du Hast while Rus is putting on big passchendaele vibes and blasting The Price of a Mile

Idk how you did those chat quotes but you should definitely add the "LIAR! You're with him!" Anakin quote for that extra politics drama in FFAs :D

I had a thought while watching this battle. When a player gets eliminated but still has ships/armies on the map what if those forces became AI controlled pirates instead of just standing still?
The first match taught an important lesson ... No one expects a Malian Inquisition. 😉
That was so fun to watch. Was rooting for the anti-china coalition and the ending didn't disappoint. I don't even play or like this game but that was cool.
This was a great tourney. Some really fun tense moments.

It's so funny seeing the mighty Royal Navy laid low by the cannon canoe swarm haha. It makes sense from a balance perspective, but it is weird seeing Mali as an extensive gunpowder civ when their only guns came from trade.
Yeah, they really shouldn't have anything good, kind of an odd civilization to add to the game in general
@@absolutelyyousless7605 Oh I think the Malians should be an auto-include for a medieval Age of Empires. They were a powerful kingdom with a big impact on the medieval world, and almost perfectly fitting in the timeframe. The only issue is their Imperial Age seige being too advanced and having a unique handgunner when they weren't advanced in gunpowder. Should've made their military strong feudal-castle with an imp fall off, like Delhi. For naval its fine, they just cant compete well and be historically accurate on water, so that's a worthy sacrifice to balance to have them.
@@mrsniffles5417 Yeah, that's what I mean. They could fit the medieval age, but they had no real imperial tech. Additionally, if I'm not mistaken, the Ottomans only became an empire after the focus of the game (1426?) When they destroyed the Byzantine Empire. Both of the Civilizations in this update, while good in-game, felt off in timing.
There are so many historical snarls in 4. I oscillate between thinking it is hilarious and cool and really hating it. It seems like for 4 Relic is more concerned with making sure that each faction can compete on each front in some capacity and it makes for some bizarre faction calculus. Compared that to 2 where many factions are more highly skewed towards their strengths and weaknesses. Honestly, I find those much more rewarding from a play perspective.
But I will never not find cannon canoes highly entertaining.
The malian navy seems scuffed.
Watching china kill the other civ armies by accident was the best. The big fleet literally cost them the game
I wonder if Terence seen the original Lord of the Rings animated movie that led to the classic movie called Wizards
The Bakshi LotR film was great, even though it didn't cover Return of the King. The Rankin and Bass Hobbit animated film was also good.
