In the UK we cant go onto the flight deck any more, fortunately I asked to go onto the flight deck before 9/11 it was brilliant , the pilots were very kind to the children x

I watch this and I remember why I took a train from Florida to nyc. So easy! No stress! You are brave flying with so many people and luggage.
@@jilliant.4550 Driving to NYC is easy. Driving and parking in NYC is not, especially with a large van like theirs. A viewer who lives in NYC verified this and said they'd have been faced with 24/7 gridlock and really difficult parking logistics for such a large van. Flying in and hiring transportation to get around the city is much easier and saves a lot of time and stress.
Love New York City! Lived there as a child, and visited many times since. Enjoy your trip!

Sending extra vibes your way! I’m down too, really struggling to find ways to give the magic to my kids at this time of year. Lol it would be easier if I had money for anything. It takes so much extra effort to have to create the Christmas spirit from scratch in the time we’re in. As a society, we’ve really gotten these kids set up for disappointment.

Why not just drive? The flight and luggage check must have cost a fortune. Not to mention other airport, goodies, buses/taxi to the hotel, and just general airport stress

I have to say mom and dad made that look so easy and smooth to take all those kids and get through checkout, boarding, and unloading....everyone did an amazing job....I seen a comment about how the pilots where so nice to the kids and I agree 100% they should so much companion and had so much patience with each of the kiddos...Dougherty Dozen they came they saw they conquer all!!!!! Hope you have a safe and fun trip and can't wait to see more...thank you for letting me be part of your journey I feel honored and blessed....big hugs, loves, and prayers!!!!

I know first hand how hectic it can be traveling with multiple kids. I did that internationally with my 4 kids to Jamaica and it was cray cray! It makes for great memories! Keep it going!

WOW. I am amazed at how well the airline does with all of these kids.
Alicia I seriously hope that you guys get frequent flyer miles. My brother uses southwest and this year they have enough points for a free flight for 4 from KS to Hawaii (yes there’s a layover since Midwest; we’ve done Cancun and layover was in Miami).
Not to mention the patience it takes to travel in big groups and crowds. I was stressed just watching lol.
