1995 Holden Rodeo 2.6 new thermostat, cooling system issues

The Holden Rodeo is now restored after making this video (new water pump fixed the cooling system problem) however at the time of making this video the cooling system was starting to leak coolant at the water pump, replacing the thermostat was the start of the diagnosis as the engine was not warming up, as it turns out this is because the thermostat was stuck open (as we see in the video), the new thermostat gets the engine warm, however I am considering putting the old thermostat back in! for the benefits of a cooler running engine (the engine has nearly done 1/2 million kilometres, also with the old thermostat the cab wasn't warming up, but that could be due to a poor power supply to the fan issue (I later found dirty and corroded electrical joiners under the fuse box)
