  • Today is the anniversary of Kobe Bryant's passing.
    This video is a homage, a love letter to the man who impacted and changed my life beyond what words can express.
    Thank you Kobe,
    Kobe Bryant Never Dies.
    (The title of this video was inspired by a catchphrase from a CZcamsr named Technoblade, who died from cancer in 2022)

      Miss this man. Used to wake up and listen to his speeches before school and before games. Kobe and my mom are the reason I have as hard of a work ethic I have now. Someone may be smarter, or better at something than me, but they’ll never out work me at a task. Anything you do, strive to be the best but learn along the way. Perfection is not a true perception.

    I grew up in a single mom household. Kobe literally taught me to be a man, to make decisions and stick to them, to believe in myself and hard work will trump everything. I've had alot of people pass away in my life, never cried. I remember my best friend calling me in a grocery store telling me the news. I got down on my knees and cried like a little girl. Even thinking about makes my eyes water. I will never forget this man, and the lessons I've learned from him. He's so much bigger than basketball to me. ❤

    Wemby said he think of Kobe maybe at least once a day, that each time he's finds himself in certain situations, he ask himself what would Kobe do or think. He is his Idol, source of inspiration and motivation.
    I have no doubt that if one day Wemby ever become an NBA Legend, it will be partly thanks to Him.
    So I hope this will happen

      Well, I don't know Kobe "Lore", but if it's what I think it is...
      Damn so many people are f*cked up, when it's people you're admire it's worse. Wemby seems to really know Kobe story tho, so I guess he is aware of those kind of thing abt Kobe.. Sure he is unconfortable with this. Imo if he still say that he "admire" him, it's always in the context of the NBA media (where Kobe's name still represent good stuff I guess) and I personnaly think and hope that Wemby choose to take a part of Kobe's basketball mindset, vision of the sport, and reject any other personal, disgusting and bad things he apparently does
      Anyway Wemby is a good kid, I'm not worry that he will remain one @@nols9886

    I remember that day like it was yesterday. I Saw it. Flash at the bottom of the TV screen on the show I was watching and my jaw dropped and I couldn't believe it. I immediately switched all the stations until I could find media coverage of it. When I realized it was true I cried, and I cried a lot and I am from Boston! I'm a through and through Boston Celtic fan. Yet here I was crying that a Los Angeles Laker was dead. It wasn't about teams with him. As all NBA fans do. And pretty much any fan who is a huge fan of a game loves his team but also respects those on other teams which are elite. I hated the Lakers because they always seem to face us in the championship and they won most of the time. But I loved Kobe Bryant. Even my daughters loved Kobe Bryant. Every time my daughter and I would shoot around she'd get to the 3-point line and say Kobe! Of course that changed to curry now, but he was loved by every person in America I'm positive of that. It makes you wonder why? I know we all owe a death, but why? Why then? Why with his daughter too? Why was everybody else on that helicopter? Why that day? Every time I see anything about Kobe Bryant I can't help but cry. I do hope Vanessa and his kids are doing as well as they can do without him and Gianna. Great video. Thank you so much!

    Amazing video. Ive cried so much since then. Every chance I get I am on the hunt for any sneaker, book, mag, shirt, etc just so I can feel closer to him. I could go on and on but Kobe was a hero and I'm thankful for getting to grow up watching him.
    Subbed.

    I remember feeling like I had lost a family member when Kobe left us for a month I cried and 4 years later I shit you not, not one day goes by without thinking bout him, when I go play ball im talking to him asking him to push me to keep going.
    I love this man and can't understand why it happened like this I guess God needed one of his generals urgently. The world lost a great man RiP Kobe Bryant

    I started watching basketball in 2015 because of Curry. I wasn't a fan of Kobe cause I didn't know him very well up until I got into basketball but the day he died I cried so much. At that moment I learned all about Kobe and who he was to the game. What a Legend. RIP!

    It's the legend before, during and after the nba that makes it for me, no other player in any sport has done it like him and kept it that way even after death.
    Kobe was, is and forever will be timeless, his greatness, spirit and vision makes him the undisputed goat for me

    Your favorite players favorite. Highly underrated today. The amount of times he's led the league in 4th quarter scoring in both the playoffs as finals in the lowest pace era, in the strongest conference ever, with the stiffest defense in NBA history speaks volumes.
    The fact that an Olympics squad with KD, Anthony, Lebron, CP3, Wade all diverted to Kobe in the clutch also speaks volumes, because we all know the best player in a bball squad, is the player other players divert to, to get them the win.
    Also one of only 4 players who have won the chip without a top 75 player(or in their prime) besides him or on a superteam with at least 3 All NBA/All Star level players like most in the top '10'.
    For me, he's the second greatest just like most ex-players, players, coaches etc. claim

    • @diegochavez6203
      @diegochavez6203 Před 4 měsíci

      He is the greatest. Mike had two top 75 players

    • @Dotsetc
      @Dotsetc Před 4 měsíci

      @@diegochavez6203 Pippin for the first 3 chips was merely a fringe all star for one year, not an all star for the next either. He became a bonafide all star player in 93. Pippin in 97 and 98 was consistently dealing with injuries but mostly his back injury which made him miss tons of games in the playoffs as well or he was playing and could jog around like an old man tops.
      Rodman was only there for the last 3 seasons and joined as 35 year old way behind his prime. He was still a great rebounder and could guard players up till SF's but was mostly a post defender now. In the years he played for the Bulls he was only once all nba defense, zero times an all star and obviously missed tons of games because of partying. When he was there he was still pivotal of course, but the fact that with a healthy Pippin in 96 they won 72 games with Rodman playing only 55 again due to partying, shows the x-factor in all of this was Michael Jordan.
      Next to the body of work and the eye test, MJ is the best ever, clearly. However Kobe IMO is arguably the closest thing to the GOAT and I sincerely don't see how some people don't see it.
      Probably because Kobe's career(and Tim Duncan) has been overshadowed by the media putting Lebron forward as the more salable poster child.

    I played basketball & soccer as a kid, never really watched pros in the early 2000s but I wish I did. I missed out on watching icons. Wish Kobe was a Sixer even for a year & he sat on the bench.
    And when news came out the day of, I didn’t even believe it. My mom came into my room and I told her it’s not real.
