- We go over every part on our #2ndgensequoia #overland build and give you an update on how they have done over the years. If a part has failed, then it didn’t make its way into this video but if a part has been trouble free and worthy of talking about, we kept them in.

Was looking into a 2nd Gen for a while and your content pushed me over. Just got an 08 that I want to build up soon!! Thanks for sharing
Man your built is my dream keep on bringing the content brotha and keep on wheeling
Thank you thank you!!!
Addicted to your content this my 4th time watching this video
Thank you so much for watching!
Love the honest straight forward information. Bought a 2015 limited because of the info you post.
Thank you so much!
you kept it so real in this vid I love it 😂😂
Thank you! Lol
Would love to see a video of you putting lockers on your rig when that time comes.
Yes! Slowly saving up for that!
You have the best set up on a 2nd gen sequoia on CZcams, thank you for all the info. I have a 2013 that I would love to have like yours and also a 2003 sequoia
Wow thank you so much for those words. That really means a ton. Two Sequoia's must be twice the fun!
You have built such a rad Sequoia, great to see you in Bend!!
Thank you thank you great to see you guys too
🫡😉🙌🏾😎 taking ideas from your rig good sir 😁
Hell yes. That’s exactly why we make these videos
What an amazing view and great knowledge sharing. Thank you brother and God Bless mate!
Thank you!
New to your channel and loving your videos, dude. Just thinking about buying a Sequoia and trying to figure out if I want generation one or two.
Short list: Gen 1 is more capable off-road due to the solid rear axle but less space and less power. Gen 2 is less capable but has more power and way more space. It’s also way more family friendly.
Dude, how do 37s look so small on that thing!? lol!! Excellent looking rig man, I love the build!
Right? In some angles it looks like a monster truck. Some angles make the tires look tiny.
Love the tree content. Keep it coming.
Thank you thank you! Will do!
Was hoping to see you at expo pnw. My buddy saw the Sequoia in a parking lot when they were having lunch in town.
Oh shoot! Dang I’m bummed I missed y’all.
Love the video bud!! You’re too straight up and I love it! Question tho do I need do anything to change my wheels on my sequoia 2nd gen to 17” like changing calipers or rotors? And how big of tires can put in a sequoia once I put the 17” wheels with no lift :o?
Thank you! If you get a set of wheels with correct spacing you’ll clear the brakes no problem. Biggest tires you can fit on any diameter with no lift is 35 inch
@@CoolGuyClub thank you bud! I appreciate you for the info. Keep it coming.
Hi from southwest WA, great update! You may have covered it somewhere, but did you just trim the rear bumper panel for that clearance? I’ve got a blacked out 2015 we’re gradually modding.
Yes indeed ff to the 12 min mark of this video. czcams.com/video/L8DnOSIwjC0/video.htmlsi=3zJXzxedr_udOWxf
Thanks for the upload! I have been following your content for a minute. If you don't mind me asking, how is the Garmin power switch working so far? I have seen some people say that it can burn out and cause flickering/intermittent issues with lights. Is it working well for you? Thanks!
It’s honestly a great unit but it has its flaws. It’s rock solid and hasn’t cut out or flickered but I have lost phone connectivity due to my battery dying.
Which is my main gripe. The switches will STAY ON even if you forget and leave whatever you have switched on forever until your car battery dies. It needs an internal timer or switch to turn off
Great sequoia.
What range are you getting on full fuel tank?
Auxiliary and or larger fuel tank?
Realistic mileage per tank (stock gearing) is about 220-250 miles. Tank is stock size. I can definitely bump that number up with a regear. To put things in perspective
I get about 11-13 mpg on the highway and the tank is about 26 gallons.
Pretty unfortunate about c4. Didnt they just buy prinsu not too recently too? Cant lie about no budget there
It blew my mind when I got the reply back saying “they can’t afford it”….without even asking what my price was.
Cool rig bro! Looking forward with a sequioa as well. Nissan is real shitty.
Nissan are fun on the road. Off the road … they can be problematic
Question, what exactly are you running on the after market shocks just the eibach front and back?
Here you go:
Toyota Sequoia Platinum lift kit for under $1500

Great video! Maybe not the forum for this question. I have an 08 Platinum and when I am towing my temp will fluctuate up and down and sometimes get super hot. Is that a thermostat issue or a water pump / timing chain issue?
Hard to answer BUT you’re on the right path. The thermostat could be sticking and causing that. It happened in my gx470 up hill and I solved it in 3 hours by changing tstat. Water pump issue would be harder to diagnose it would be helpful if I knew when it was last changed.
@@CoolGuyClub I'm not sure that it ever has been. Im also in the PNW. I got the rig a month ago with 169k. I was hoping that it was the tstat, as opposed to the pump and chain.
I think that Im going to spend the $40 for the tstat and see if that fixes it.
Perfect. If it doesn’t, then at least you know it’s time for a water pump. Both are good things for the rig anyway.
What kind of display is under the Garmin?
That's a Sony Headunit: trailgridpro.com/collections/head-units/products/sony-xav-ax8100-plug-play-bundle-07-13-tundra
You see the rear bumper for 2nd Gen from Victory 4X4?
czcams.com/video/vWgsBDqSDfc/video.htmlsi=8F0nmAXmhv14_QPx
lol. Cut your frame. Drill your frame. Cut your stock bumper and it’s still a complete pile of shit.
bro these companies and their "non existent" budgets, it is such horse shit, the owner should eat less sushi and save some money if he wants to use other peoples content. smh
Yeah dude it blew my mind when I got that reply.
