- I have had NUMEROUS requests to do this video, so here it is. Paul Walker and Roger Rodas lost their lives on November 30, 2013 when the vehicle Roger was driving went out of control and tragically took both of them. They were both loved by family, friends and fans.
Below are the coordinates to various locations of the incident. Copy and paste the coordinates into the Google Earth search bar and you will be taken to these exact locations.
Place Porsche was Parked: 34.4499097, -118.5774870

Car's final stop: 34.4533188, -118.5789498
Ugh. The roses. You’re so respectful, Forrest.
laughing at the thought of him redoing the hitlers bunker video and leaving roses for him and eva braun
Porsche Carrera GT, not GT3. I admire the unique on location coverage of tragic incidents on your channel. RIP Paul and Roger. If you make it down to San Diego again, the plane crash involving Reba McEntire's band in 1991 up on Otay Mountain would be an interesting video.
Clowns thought they could use public roads as their personal racetrack, and endanger innocent lives. Glad that they only harmed their selfish selves. G.R.
@@AEM-le7uy have some respect.
@@AEM-le7uy doesnt mean that we shouldnt give them respect
Dude just wants attention
@@yuma_da_puma what's the matter lil girl... your lil hero splatter himself all over the the interior of a Porsche, and fry himself in the process? boo hoo!!
If the driver survived, he would have been criminally charged.
Walker was in charge. The driver worked for him. And Walker owned the car. Walker was seeking a thrill. Well, he got it.
The level of detail you go into puts you into a league of your own, coupled with the respect you show. Thank you so much for sharing your work with us. ❤️
And, he didn’t even get the car right.
@@NPCHSNwell, nobody's perfect. 😂
I hadn't heard about the starter before. Interesting. Thanks for all you put in these.
No body explains it or shows it better than you Mr. Haggerty. It’s nice to watch your channel grow.
This was such a tragedy. So sad
Agreed. So much detail and very informative. Keep up great work!
I appreciate your effort of traveling to the locations to film in person. Love the content!
Incredible video. I’m most struck by how quiet this location is actually
Why there are no cars driving on that big street?
@@aicisha I thought it was really odd
Its a industrial complex, if you go to a industrial complex on the weekend when the business are closed there will be no traffic.
@@apolloorosco6852 Fair enough. I’m from Australia so I had no idea. Thanks.
@@apolloorosco6852 It's never closed, but it is a very quiet street almost any day of the week.
Always thorough! Thanks Forest!
I live right by where this happened and stopped by on my way back from work. Tons of people were there and I was shocked at the how some people were behaving. I saw this man directing his kids through the bushs looking for any piece of the car that they could find. What really irritated me through and I left shortly after because I was disgusted was seeing this girl taking selfies in front of the tree they hit smiling. No respect.
Love your videos though. Thanks Forrest!
Animals
None anymore. I was on YT where someone filmed the World Trade Memorial in NY..people laughing and taking selfish like it was Disney World..So disgusted with the lack of respect these days..
Fantastic attention to detail as usual! Your videos are superb.
Forrest Haggerty's videos are just about the most interesting on CZcams, love this stuff! Something that was brought up by investigators of this crash was the age and condition of the car's tires. They were around 9 years old and hadn't seen regular use prior to the accident. That's a HUGE issue for high performance cars traveling at high speed and cornering. Both age and static oxidation (caused by chronic disuse over time) of the tire's 'compound' (particular rubber formulation) greatly affect a tire's elasticity and 'grip'. The older a tire is and the more is has set up without actual use, the more the tire's compound becomes brittle and far less elastic. The less elastic a tire is, the less grip it can maintain on asphalt. Elasticity and grip are closely interrelated; the less you have of the former, the less you have of the latter. Old, oxidized tires with severely degraded grip performance will lose traction under high performance conditions MUCH quicker than new, regularly used tires. Quite frankly, the tires on Paul Walker's Porsche at the time of the accident would not have really been safe on a passenger car going the speed limit, let alone a race car traveling at high speed.
I think you have struck a very difficult balance of respect to the dead and providing an informative recollection of the event. Thanks for making this.
Thank you Forrest for a well researched and informative video! 👍
Detail, perfection and respect as always. Thank you.
Forrest, you really do amazing work. I stop whatever I'm doing to watch your video whenever you post something new.
As always a lot of interesting information and very high attention to detail, a lot of work and dedication goes into your work and you can see that very
clearly on each and every one of your videos... Big fan!
You are an amazing teacher! I've learned lots from your channel, and you explain everything in a way to where I keep coming back. Thanks for another great video
Your videos are so incredibly interesting Thank you so much!
I stumble across your Carole Lombard video. I’m kind of speechless because your interests of these locations is so near to mine. I spend hours on Google Maps just looking. You do wonderful work and I thoroughly enjoyed the three videos I’ve watched so far. Your level of respect when delivering incidental, emotional facts is highly commendable. Have you considered going out to the 1948 Los Gatos DC9 crash site? You should. Again, great work.
Your videos are awesome. Thanks for posting.
This is a great video. Thanks for making it
Great video. I’ve got lots of respect for you putting in the effort to make these very detailed. Nice touch with the roses too.
Hey buddy. I know some of your content is sad. But extremely interesting and very informative. Love your content Forrest
God bless you Forrest! You are the best channel.
It’s touching to see all the tire marks from people burning out to honor them where they died ♥️
Well done Forrest. When you had the idea for this channel it was an absolute brain storm. Not only is this upload informative and entertaining but also very dignified. Cheers from OZ.
Thank you Forrest. Appreciate your insight.
Nice touch at the end, Forrest. Always enjoy your videos.
I remember the day it happened. So sad and preventable. You did a great job! Always respectful! Thank you Forrest :))
Thank you Vianey! Happy to hear from you!:)))
Great job on explaining the location and circumstances of the crash. Two tragic deaths caused by a lead foot. So glad there were no innocent bystanders harmed.
Very thorough, detailed and informative. As always, very respectful. Love every one of these videos. Thank you...
Correction: it was a Porsche carrera gt….not the Porsche gt3
Your style of documentary is very unique. Awesome.
Informative and respectful. Appreciate your research and eye for detail.
Love your videos.. so much detail and full respect given.
Other youtubers could learn a lot from you.
Great video as always my friend.
Sad event. But I appreciate your breakdown of what happened. Always enjoy your videos
Another great video from you..so detailed and always so respectful.
On the day this happened I was leaving Ventura and drove through Valencia just hours before this happened..so sad. Paul was such a beautiful kind person.
Thank you for your video.
I always enjoy your videos like this, please do more.
Love your vids....thank you so much!
Thank you for your comment!
Great video as always!!
Thankyou Forrest. Your reconstructions are so powerful and thought-provoking. They often keep the memories of wonderful people alive. RIP P.W. and R.R. 🙏🙏
I’ve binge watched your videos, please make more!
I will!
Paul was my favorite person, still sad that hes not around anymore, as i can't go to the crash location (from Holland) thanks for making this video!
Great on location coverage as always. Always done respectfully too despite horrific events
Time really flies. Thanks Forrest!
Thank you for explaining and showing how this happened ---you make it so easy to understand the chain of events. So sad and needless ....
Another great video. Thank you sir
Thank you, Forrest, fantastic work, as always! BTW you are right about the broken window, if you look at pix from the memorial a day later this one is boarded up.
Outstanding work....AGAIN!
I never knew about Paul Walker’s charitable efforts. Thanks for putting that info in the vid.
Forrest truly sets a higher standard for these kinds of videos
Great work!
What a fantastic video! Another home run. First-class touch with the roses.
One of the best channels on CZcams.
Yo Forrest Haggerty, love your content. In due time, I humbly suggest you cover the recent and tragic Cessna collision in Santee, San Diego county CA
The gas tank to those cars are molded between the seats and the engine.. so they were basically strapped to a gas tank, a potential bomb
gas tanks arent bombs, regardless of what Hollywood makes them out to be.
So then how come ford stop production of a car that every single that got rear ended ended up blowing up cause the gas tank explosion???
Most mid-engined or rear-engined cars have the fuel tank somewhere in between the engine and cockpit… I mean where else would you put it with that layout. Modern tanks are self sealing and do not immediately burst into flames like they used to… there would have been time (had they been conscious/alive) to escape the vehicle before the fire began. But on that same note, if you wanna see a car where you actually were sitting on a bomb then check out the Lancia Delta S4. It was a Group B (no regulations) rally car from the 80’s. They didn’t have self sealing tanks back then and the fuel tank for the car was where the driver and co driver sat. They both burned to death in a crash in 86.
Detailed, exact and respectful. Fine work forrest.
You're a good dude Forrest. Thank you for doing what you do.
You make amazing videos.. As much as some are very grim, they are incredible! I love the history and the amount of sleuthing you do! I love a good Sleuth.
Thx always appreciated
Thanks ...Great work !!! I never read or heard about the automotive electrical starter going through the office building window.
Another great video. Nice show of respect too.
Wonderful work! You have a gift with explaining such tragic events...
I wonder why there isn't any type of memorial there for them?
Wow. Scary. Thanks for researching so well.
Love your videos men, keep making them
Thank you! There are more coming in the future.
U are so darn good at this !
Do one on Gabby & Brain please bro. Been waiting for you to do one. Love your content brotha.
Such a tragic loss of life. Rest in Peace Paul Walker and Roger Rodas.
Another really well made video 👍 You have the perfect voice for ASMR as well. Just saying 😅
The only thing better than a Forrest video… is an on-location Forrest video. 👍🏻
RIP Buster
Underrated channel, CZcams algorithm needs to do its thing
You can see in the road on google maps at the accident location that a lot of people do burnouts and donuts in memory of Paul and Roger. That seems a rather fitting tribute given their passion for sports cars. It was very thoughtful of you to leave them roses. Thanks for sharing.
Very eerie going back to the scene 9 years later. You can feel the ghosts. Especially at the now-defunct Always Evolving store front. The dreams and lives lost. Great video evoking the past.
RIP Paul and Roger. love from Glasgow
I can't watch the ending of FF7 without crying.... When Vin says "It's never Goodbye" I just lose it and start blubbering.... R.I.P Paul
Great video forrest. Very sad
Great video, love the details. What a sad ending.
Inexcusable the speed they were driving. 80-93 mph? Are you kidding me?
Another great video, Forrest, especially pointing out the exact place where the vehicle ended up. This was quite a coincidence since I watched the movie "She's All That" last Sunday night which featured Paul Walker. I went out to Google Street View and couldn't find the tree stump you pointed out. I also didn't know about the pictures of the scene that placed the vehicle at that exact location. Well done.
They were born the same years as my 2 children. 1973 and 1975! They would be 48 and 46 this year.very sad story! Just a lesson, just because a car can go fast doesn’t mean you should drive it fast. You need to drive it safe!
GREAT video🙌👊
Best channel on CZcams. Period.
Thank you!
Nice touch with the respect paid with the roses. Great work mr haggerty.
oh my god thank you so much!
Really respectful of you to bring roses to a lot of these places. I’ve noticed that you never make judgments or assumptions either, nor do you ever take anything found at the scene. Class act. Appreciated. Kelly Johnson Parkway is named after Clarence “Kelly” Johnson. He was the lead designer and engineer on the U-2 and SR-71 spy planes and had a hand in developing numerous Lockheed planes. Man wanna genius and a true American hero. Just a little fun fact.
Thank you for sharing. I didn’t know that! Very interesting!!!
Beautifully done.
Peace and love Forest ✌️🇬🇧
Thank you kindly!
Thank you Forrest
You are welcome!
Love the videos Forrest, been subscribed for years, your videos are nothing but pure quality. I wouldn't expect you to travel to this location since its all the way in Sweden, but id love to see you do a video on the Cliff Burton crash. (Metallica bass player who was killed in a bus crash after a show in 1986). Other youtubers have done videos on it but it would be interesting to see the story told through your style. Thanks for the great content, your videos are always a must watch for me.
Thank you for your your support and your very kind comment. Someday I hope to make it overseas!:)))
Thinking about Paul always makes me tear up.
Excellent!
I'm glad you liked it Dan!
Thanks for doing this Forrest. As always you show great respect and empathy 🙏
Great work Forrest! I personally knew Paul Walker. I met him through ROWW during the Haiti earthquake where I helped provide support and security for his team with my fathers company. I just want to clarify one thing, the car was a Porsche Carrera GT not a Porsche 911 GT3. The Carrera GT had no electronic aid systems like we have on cars today so it was a 800 horsepower beast unleashed with only driver input.
Forrest, you’re a class act. Godspeed.
I really like how you placed the two roses at the crash site. I think that shows a lot of class on your part. You seem like a really classy guy. Forrest Haggerty your videos are absolutely fascinating. That is because YOU are a fascinating man.
:))))))
You're a class act, Forrest.
I like all of your videos but this one especially. I was super into cars when this happened and I remember thinking how the Carerra GT had such a reputation for being a widow maker.
I accidentally called it the GT3.
@@forresthaggertychannel4301 I honestly didn’t even notice. Small mistake that won’t matter to most people anyway. No sweat.
Can you do one on Gary powers?? Love these videos
Lova ya Forrest! Hope all is well!
Fantastic detail.
That is not how I imagined that area looking, based on the news stories of that crash. Well done video, yet again. Forrest, on a different subject, a few years ago, after I made a suggestion, and you said that you had a future video planned about the WWII, US Marine invasion of Peleliu Island, south Pacific, Sept. 1944. My dad was one of those Marines. Is that video still a possibility, someday? Thanks for your interesting perspective on a wide variety of historic events.
Yes, I want to do a WWII Pacific series. I have to wait until I retire, which should be in the next year or two!:)))
@@forresthaggertychannel4301 , ok, I will wait. Thanks :) btw, Forrest, I am retired. Hurry up and join us. :))
I love how thorough you are! Do you ever get weird looks from people or do you time it just right?
I haven’t had any weird looks, but I do try to time it and go to places when people aren’t there; early morning and/or weekends.
