First outdoor play day.

These are our 4 week old baby Orloff chicks (Russian origin) and Pavloskaya Chicks (ancient Russian chickens) from Greenfire Farms.
I ordered these beautiful babies the first week in April, Prior to knowing we were battling Mareks Disease. An order that is a non refundable order (unless they fall short of fulfilling the order). While they were able to fulfill this order, these babies arrived on May 2.
We’ve had them tucked away in our ‘non’ contaminated barn for these last four weeks, until today. I felt this was the right time to get them out and to encounter the soil, and to just be on the open ground for a wee bit. This was that moment.
