    A connection that I see a lot of people miss: Graham (Notebook guy) and Graham (“Antonio”’s Ex-boyfriend) one of my favorite little connections. And can confirm TMA is absolutely better the more times you listen to it. On my 5th listen-through myself.

    I wish more people did videos of theories as they listen through the series! I see mostly hardcore fan content when I search, and I’m so much more interested in people’s first impressions. As much as I love the idea of some amv about anatomy class, I want some of that grade A conspiracy board content XD (but yes, a couple of my personal faves from the early seasons are anatomy class and also binary- and also a guest for mr spider)

    After binging all of season 1 at 3am the ads were a nice break for my paranoia
    Also love how you list all the creatures and then "oh and death" like I love how war and death just aren't central enough for us to remember rn even though both have horrifying consequences in their events

    i’m only like 7 minutes into this so far but I want to note another connection with Season 1 (someone correct me if I’m off, this is from memory) but Episode 1’s The Angler Fish mentions a woman’s name among the missing who later shows up in the episode ‘Skintight’ (Melanie King’s statement) which was a fun thing to pick up on for me when I first listened through!

      You're right! I forgot to put that into my notes but I remember it at the time, thanks for the reminder!

      That's the one that made me realize and then I went back and re listened to it from the beginning with a notebook looking like Charlie in the pepe silva episode

    I've been DEEP in the obsession pit ever since September; binged the entire series three times nearly back-to-back. So happy to see more fans coming in! Jonny is truly a phenomenal writer.

    aaah it's so cool to see someone appreciating ep 3 because that is the one that really unsettled me for the first time I listened to. I was listening while falling asleep in my dark room and the part where Not!Graham turns around and looks directly into the statement giver's room (who also makes this statement top tier because she's literally stalking him) scared the shit out of me. It managed such a delightful sense of uneasiness without relying on jumpscares or anything that it really stood out to me. Others that I loved are for the most part fan favs I think, The Piper, Lost John's Cave, Confession/Desecreated Host, Killing Floor, and Bootswain's Call. And what many people have said, when you relisten it's so great to catch all those hints that have been there for the whole time!! It really is a masterpiece

    Yeah after you watch it once I definitely recommend a rewatch. Magnus Archives is one of those rare instances where rewatching it actually gives you a greater understanding of the overall plot instead of it breaking apart as most modern media do. Though they are some slight hiccups... But as I said nothing world breaking.
    In fact the amount of work that went into world building and presenting it to the audience in a compelling way that keeps that air of mystery intact is outstanding.

    currently relistening for the third time so it's refreshing to hear your first impressions! season 1 has such a great vibe - there's something about that creeping sense of unease from the early statements that definitely sets the scene for the season finale. hope you enjoy/enjoyed season 2!

    This Video is so entertaining! I Love people talking about Things I Like and I Love the Magnus Archives! And you have such Attention to Details!
    I Wish you a lot of fun and scares for Future seasons!
    Season 1 is great and it is so interesting to relisten to it because you can make even more Connections
    One of the Episodes I Had the Most fun with ( Not Impact or scares but fun) in Season 1 was Anatomy Class because even the First time listening I could See the Episode instead of Horror as a Comedy

    Omg I’m so glad I found your channel!!! I’ve been a huge TMA fan for several years now, and I love hearing people’s first thoughts and theories as they experience the series for the first time, but there’s so little content like that for podcasts, unfortunately. So this was a delight to stumble across! 😊

    • @TheFullSpectrum
      @TheFullSpectrum  Před rokem +9

      Yep! I'm most of the way through Season 2 right now. I like to listen to them while driving so I can really focus on them (get distracted easily at my desk) and then listen to the episode a second time at my desk while working on something else to make sure I didn't miss anything for my notes. Magnus Archives really has become my little treat I give myself while working around everything else!

      @@TheFullSpectrum awesome! I binged through a lot of the early seasons on my first listen through, since I started watching this when I was moving house and would listen to it sometimes 6-8 hours per day on weekends while painting/renovating and whatever else. But yeah I agree podcasts like this are better to listen to while doing something else like driving. Will be looking forward to the next one!

    • @TheFullSpectrum
      @TheFullSpectrum  Před 11 měsíci +6

      I took a lot of notes! I would listen to each episode once while driving to work, then again at my desk so I could take notes of names and places. I only found out after I finished the final season that the wiki already has a full guide for names thats mostly spoiler free!
