In Shaun Burgoyne's 300th match, Hawthorn again pulled out some miracles in the last 2 minutes to win the game by 3 points for the 3rd week in a row. Check the highlights here!
So: the 3peat-ers win their 3rd straight game by a margin of 3 points, on Shaun Burgoyne's 300th game, after Al Clarkson signs on for 3 more years. Spooky.
What a game... I have now seen the entire game twice, the last five minutes at least four times, the AFL highlights of the game, a few interviews and now this vid. For all those that said Isaac Smith was holding the ball, at the siren: in the first place Rory Sloan does not cause the ball to come out, not with the vision of it I have seen. If you stop the replay right as the ball has come out, Isaac's hands are together as they would be after disposing of a handball. Rory Sloan makes no arm action that indicate he causes the ball to come out, and FURTHER, when Isaac grabbed the ball he stood shock still, waiting for the impact he knew was coming, when the impact comes he turns away from it and at the end Jack Gunston was standing in front of him and Rory behind him, there is no way it gets knocked out that easy unless Isaac himself did it... Not only that but Isaac himself told at least two interviewers that the umps got the call right because as he related the play," ...someone had to grab it, so I did and waited for the impact, I then handballed the ball to the ground". Incredibly while it seemed like Isaac had the ball for an eternity, I timed it, he had possession for exactly TWO seconds.

Free kick *MY ASS* . That was a beautiful mark under immense pressure, and the umpire should have paid it as such.

@@rileywaters7154 he handballed it. Both the umpire and smith himself have confirmed this. Perhaps change your name to salty waters.
