If you focus on infantry and you’re F2P / low spender then Richard is a must for your 5 armies. He also has uses than just field fighting but I think he’s worth the expertise from this perspective specifically.
Healing is disabled in Armsmaster Lohar. But I agree, Richard is my go to staple for camps/keeps and barb chaining. I was freaking out because the recent update had a bug that increased barb damage by 60%-100% and made his healing worthless, but it's fixed due to maintenance.
I have 400 Gold Heads in store, and my Richard is 5111 while my Alex is 1000. Would it be a good idea to put these Universals into Richard and Alex and make them both 5511? (Other than ATF, the next most advanced Legendary I have now is Charles at 5511). I know it depends on the individual, just want to make sure it's not disastrous :D

You should look more less like me if you are active and do all events, ark of osiris... this is the average I think, just in case you are wondering.
You are doing very well for the number of days you have been playing. Try to max YSG before putting any universals into el cid. El cid does not have a long lifespan for use to be honest

Thank you for the video. Was having this discussion with alliance members his role late game. I just got him on card king and we have our Alex wheel. Was thinking to finish off YSG before getting Rich to 5511 than expert Alex. Not enough heads. GEMs is key and barb training with Richard would help.
If you are Chain farming them barbs, it's totally worth it. If you hide it behind Alex or Martel that March it built like a tank and gives you amazing trades. So yes definitely worth it
I've been debating. I have a 5511 Richard. With skill lock, I have enough sculptures to get him to 5551. But Saladin is coming in Card King shortly, and I have the sculptures to get him to 5551. I'm leaning towards Saladin, but I am Infantry-based as far as gear goes. Decisions...
5511 is good enough because that extra 4 skill is just 10% attack and 10% defense which could easily be made up with better equipment. Your 5511 rc with better gear will beat a 5551 rc with bad gear and tech. imo the 4th skill is more valuable than 3rd skill and obviously the first 2 skills are his strongest. Saladin 5551 is worth it.
Richard is truly The Tank of Tanks. I use YSG behind Richard and the trades are beautiful especially with T5 Vikings. Now the tricky part for me is to find out how I wanna use him either focus to support hit or tank.. I have Alex maxed, and YSG to do damage. I’m working on Constantine and Mulan to support I have Joan maxed. And lastly I have CM to make Richard super tanky and also considering Harald for tankyness. What’s ur advice here bro. 5/5/1/1 richard is the best investment imo. 5511 only need 190 god head, which really isnt that much even for f2p, and you got a very solid tanky commander that is good for a long time, and still somewhat relevant even late game.

I would say richard is a must at least 5111 as secondary to sun tzu its so good in canyon.Also richard is nice primary for field especially for richard/sun tzu combo + alex ysg combo.Literally nobody targets me and i am getting ton of value from sun and ysg as secondaries

Currently at 56, cause i made noob mistake early game. Not sure how to roll for commander for now. My best epic is suntzu 5554. Also have eulji 5113, joan 5311, belisarius 5312, and kusunogi 5513. The legendary is richard 5111. Any advice before my first kvk? Was really hoping max suntzu main with richard 5111 good enough for a while 😅 apparently not

Richard is good investment at 5111 if u only use for chaining barbing and a small fight (but he won't last long). I had richard at 5511 and pair with suntzu. Other pair u can use is suntzu/bjorn/richard5511/joan/aethel (all interchangeable). Epic pair still okay in kvk one. But really the only thing that i say in kvk 1 if u can, work on your military tech and fight open field more and get 100mill kp. Because after kvk, alot of old player will migrate back to kvk 2. If u dont have the stats, you will have to make room for bigger player. If u want to migrate, some kd wont accept cause u dont have the stats. I say work on ysg cause he and suntzu give almost free kills on open field (aoe). Kvk 2 will be harder to get kill in open field cause alot of player already better tech

Richard does have a few counters now, but the counters are all based off of percentages and chance. After he is maxed, the debuffs only counter his 4th skill, but his first skill is still untouched.
Has anyone else noticed their Richards weaker after the update? First day of stage 1 pre kvk I was going around killing 100 marauders without refilling. After the update on the second day, I was having to refill after less then 20 marauders...
Alex Richard is still a useable march. Same Like Charles ysg. Dont let you influence that you Always need the newest commanders . Richard Alex not me the best march, but the majority of ppl dont have the best acc too. Alex Richard Just work.

Bottom line don't invest in Richard he sucks he fills your hospital and bc that you can't use him for garrison he only used for barbs and AOO , just stick to charles and YSG and charles can heal with defense tree medicinal supply gives healing can be used got garrison protecting your base, just 1000 x better than Richard and I disagree with your talent tree full defense tree makes Richard better with 4 points in infantry tree for increased defense in formation skill

go with Saladin. Unless you spend a lot, 5511 is good.

5511 is just a high level barb chaining. 5551 is the best investment if you want open field. +15% atk/def is just so big to miss it
