I have both and tested them extensively... the Boombox 3 sounds better. It’s more open and the mid is much cleaner quality wise, the sound is crisp. But the 310 is much louder with crazy base. For me sound clarity is more important than base. It’s like comparing a Mercedes coupe (BB3) vs Huge RAM pickup truck (310) 😅

The boombox 3 is so easy to take on the go, and doesnt have that much difference in volume like i would expect

@@shoerice5083 I have a 310 and it just to take the thing up and carry it like a suitcase, I do not see the problem IMO the boombox 3 is harder.

The 310 is horrible for portability unless you use a car to get everywhere and even then it takes so much space and rattles around the car and gets scratches. I barely used my partybox 100 cuz of how bad it sounded indoors.
Outdors it was nice to put somewhere and play but it was horrible to bring it back home without a car.
The boombox 3 sounds way better than any partybox speaker, its just a matter of size and power for the partyboxes
Boombox 3 is better overall it looks sick and is way more portable than the 310 and still sounds crazy. So I agree with your opinion

The 310 is ok, but if you put it aside of the jbl boombox 3; then you know the midrange and tweeters of the Boombox 3 are much better..bass is less, but still very good.This is normal these are in the same price range, and the 310 have the lights, the micro input..so jbl have to save on other things,like the quality of the tweeters..
I have both of these speakers. The boombox 3 sounds nice and has lots of bass but no way it could beat the 310 in bass and loudness. The boombox 3 might be brighter but I haven't thoroughly tested both of them yet tho. For the size and portability of course the boombox 3 is gonna be better.

Is the bass of the boombox enough when driving with windows closed? (Sry never had any speaker box). I want to decide between them for long range drives. I dont need crazy sound volume
yes with the jbl boombox 3 its loud enough i can confirm this since i have one of my own in camo.

I put my bb3 by passenger side feet under glove box, and its pretty good, but i honestly expected it to be a bit louder, like unable to be talked over lol. Bass rumbles good in the front but sitting in the back seat (speaker still in same place) its noticably less satisfying of a sound. Every other spot i put it doesnt sound very good, its also a minivan, so maybe the materials and general running of the van absorbs some sound.Im aware its not a $3,000 sound system, but i feel like either the placement or sice of van is preventing its full potential. It practically shakes my kitchen so i dont really understand why the significant difference
@@666omptonI know this is old, but the Boombox 3 has an upwards-firing subwoofer, so if you put it underneath something then that could explain why it's muffled
