So the JBL Boombox 3 is ultra portable, ultra durable, and thanks to its new additional frontward firing subwoofer, the Boombox 3 has considerably more bass than its predecessors. However, the Boombox 3 is a premium priced speaker… Now you could either go with the Boombox 3… or you could go with a larger box speaker like either the JBL Partybox 310 or Sony XP700. So today we’re going to see how the Boombox 3 stacks up to both the Partybox 310 and Sony XP700… and lets see which one is right for you.

The Boom Box 3 is an outdoor portable speaker designed for grab and go while withstanding the elements. Of course you lose power due to it's portability but for the active individual it will be more practical for what you will put it thru. We have to innerstand the reason boom boxes and party boxes both exist. Music for 2 different environments, each with their own pros and cons.
I wouldn't change my Boombox 3 for any of those bigger ones. I take it everywhere and it sounds AMAZING in any situation or place. Big of an improvement from Boombox 2 and Xtreme 2/3
You gotta try out the boombox 3 in a car it sounds amazing.
I was using the partybox 100 in a car before, and its night and day difference. The boombox 3 doesnt have as much lower mids, but the bass goes deeper. And the sound, vocals, experience is something on a different level with the boombox.
Its like a high quality car system was playing there.the sound was spreading nicely and on point. Not harsh, not distorted. The 3 way system shines, makes the vocals hearable, and instruments. Jbl nailed it.
I use boombox 3 also in car at the moment. My audis bose system broke and it would cost thousands to fix. I just slapped the boombox in for 300 and its not that much worse than the original system

I have a larger suv, honda pilot , just ordered the 310 and don't know how it will sound, I debated between the boomobkx 3 and 310
The Boombox models are always the most expensive models and have better audio quality, for example the boombox 3 many say that now it has too much power in the mids, but it is nothing more than that we got used to the fact that JBL always lacked high mids since its sound is in V, but now with its 3 audio channels it is a beauty of sound and separation of instruments, on my channel I have a video where I show the test of the channels separately from the boombox 3, proof that no one has done so far.

Just ordered my 310 this morning, can't wait to see it, set it up and use it. Any tips or tricks I should know for this being my first party box from jbl, I've had many other jbls just exited to have suck a big and powerful one now
its a very good speaker. Bass keep it+1 at +2 is boomy. Sound is very good, clean and kinda warm side.
This thing is not for apartment and bass boost on. I mean i prefer listening to my charge 5 when at home. But when its plugged in it's amazing for small parties. Just made one party at office balcony and damn everyone was blown away by the quality and bass.

I've tried extensively both the Boombox 3 and the... Boombox 2 in my car, strapped up so it "floats" in the middle of the back of the car (removed my back seats). I use the app AMP because of the amount of EQing you can do and let me tell you, if you are a basshead but more the "punchy" bass rather than less punchy but slightly deeper bass, the Bombox 2 is totally winning the punchy bass battle by quite a long shot. Tried plenty of EQ settings for both but the punchiness of the Bbox2 makes the experience much more sensational. Though, the Bbox 3 is clearly winning the trebles battle, quite massively. All of this is due to the difference in the woofers/speakers/tweeters setup and size. Bbox 2 for incredible punch and Bbox 3 for deep/more flat sub bass. I listen to dubstep from modern to riddim to deepstep and the Bbox 2 totally wins the basshead battle. Once again, playing those beasts in a car, you'll need to EQ the F out of them to reach the sweet spot for your taste.
Hey! I got JBL BoomBox 3 and noticed that highs are harsh and muffled with mids, doesn't matter what eq setting I use. Do you notice same poor sound quality in your unit? Or mine just can be faulty? Ty for the reviews!
might be because it uses SBC codec, not the best.

Boombox 3 for indoor and outdoor, partybox for only indoor. I have both, partybox 310 has big front mesh holes not sandproof at all boombox 3 has newer drivers, new tweets, released in 2022 new bluetooth 5.3. 310 is older released in 2010. Old drivers more bass less clarity on sound, prefer it for indoors
The XP-700 was almost a great speaker. It's definitely louder than the Boombox 3 until 70% battery than they are about the same the same in volume but sadly the XP-700 gets quieter from there on battery power due to Sony battery management. It has a wider soundstage and more upperbass than theses two other speakers but no comparison in deep bass as well. The Partybox 310 is packed really well and gets me wondering about the 320. The Boombox 3 still is the best for its size but the price tag isn't to out of line.

No, the pb110 has the same sound as the pb310 but the 310 has just more bass and goes louter than the 110

Idk the mids on the 310 sounds a lot fuller 110 is an amazing speaker I do prefer it because of the size and the sound and bass is amazing and has a lot going for it but that’s what I think I would say the 110 is a better option then the 310

It has more lower mids because it was tuned to be more boomy and party related than the boombox but sound quality and listening experience goes to the boombox 3 hands down. No competition in sound quality
@@shoerice5083 everyone’s ears are different for example I went to test a xtreme 3 definitely not worth $380 and the boombox 3 sound quality is not worth the $100 extra so I would rather waste my money on the pb110 way more versatile and it has a wider sound stage but for convenience ya waste $500 also sounds like you prefer brighter sound quality my ears fatigue with brighter sounds I prefer slightly warmer with a wide sound stage

mostly bass and it holds bass more at higher volume's its recommended changing the bb3 EQ with its bass 2 ticks up and treble 1 down for the best sound for the rest ofc the different charge port new design and better sound bc of the racetrack looking subwoofer.
Boombox 3 has way better sound seperation, the 3 way system gives it a nice vocal and instrument seperation, clarity, brutal bass.
Overall amazing experience for me with this speaker. I enjoy it a LOT

What is this obsession with batterylife, and need to swim with your speaker?
I didn't like the JBL 3...I put it to its use when I was at the beach every in DR....at full volume with the party boost on I got about 3.5hours of playing time out of it...the jbl boombox 2 works best I got 10 hours at full volume
That sound test doesent translate at all.
I'd take the boombox 3 any day of the week bc it sounds as good, and it's portable

I am dissatisfied with the boombox 3. Its base lacks physicality. Tried a soundbox, but it sounded terrible. The boombox 3 sounds bery open and bright while the others sound like they play trough a cloth or blancket.
Although it does not power a party, i'd much rather appreciate the quality of the music rather than feel bass but hear shit.
And the speakers make it that i hear stuff in the background that i never heard on headphones or the like.
What do you prefer instead?
