    Elon musk's statement about hydrogen is going wrong as already proved by many experts/media. Hydrogen is clean sustainable, easily transportable-rechargeable source of energy. Battery is material expensive (we are already low in lithium), slow in charge, difficult to recycle.
    Hydrogen generated by renewable sources is more scalable, may not be efficient but its easy and abundant, if scaled hydrogen will be cheap in no time.
    More interesting than fuel cells, hydrogen based internal combustion engine development is one rise, it will make engine design easy and cheap.

    If all cars go electric in few years what would be the recycle pattern of the waste generated from used batteries? Is it recyclable?
    And how is lithium generated? Is it available easily?

    I am not from Chemistry in specific: Still, one argument, when we do H20 electrolysis using electricity why we are concerned with H2 only that has to be used as fuel cells, ...
    For me even the O2 from here is stored and can be used as combustible in production of electricity in thermal power plants, replacing the fossil fuels.
    Just ignite and use the modular O2.
    I think even using the non-renewable energy as source itself to produce H2 is contributing to produce itself too at first place. And once we have loop of --
    {{Electrolysis- leads O2- Thermal way of energy production via turbines- use this electricity to produce more H2 and O2. }}
    For me it's a win-win situation. Suggestions expected. :)

      What you said is very much true.. oxygen gas will be produced along with hydrogen gas in the process.. both can be used for various purposes.
      Electrolysis maybe less efficient but here we are splitting h2 and o2.. both of which are useful.. unlike IC engines where you get useless CO2 and CO.
      I think nithin ghadkari govt has O2 gas in mind too. Which will make this process feasible.

      @@streamingaround162 no you cannot fill hydrogen on a gas station as hydrogen is not compatible with current infrastructure because it cannot be stored in liquid form as its boiling point is too low so it is in the form of gas at room temperate and because its a gas its density is too low so you have to store it a extremely high pressure as high as (800 bars ) so you need big and bulky thanks . The old petrol/ diesel tanks cannot store hydrogen so you will need entirely new infrastructure which will cost trillions of dollar's to install all over the country while there is no requirement for new infrastructure in electric vehicles companies can just install electric charging stations and connect it to the grid which is at least a million percent cheaper than creating whole new infrastructure .
