Idk if it’s the same for you, but I think another thing that makes social events difficult for me- besides just generally being super introverted and imposter syndrome- is everything else that comes with it. I’m audhd and have sensory processing issues, so find a lot of people and noise overwhelming. I also find driving super stressful, especially if there’s a lot of traffic, I’m not familiar with the route, and/or idk the parking situation. And, something you did mention, is not knowing where to go or what you’re supposed to do. I do my best to prepare for those things, but it’s still draining if I don’t have time to destress, it’ll builds up and so if I’ll be on the verge of it of crying until I end up crying over something small, that wouldn’t normally be an issue, becomes my breaking point.
