They took out most of the good grills I’m trying to find one for my truck literally the same truck as yours I’m slowly upgrading it got an exhaust cutout wheels and stuff just ordered speakers but have yo seen any that aren’t priced that high on Amazon that are good ?
Grills or Speakers?
How’s the durability? Does it chip easy? I like the look and have thought about doing this as well but including the FORD letters.
Its been painted and on the truck for about 6 months. It hasn't chipped or faded yet. The grill itself hasn't broken and lights are still bright.
I also thought about doing the letters, but personally I like a more "blacked out" look. I would imagine painting the letters would just give it more contrast.
Nice video. Very brittle plastic - how do you replace one of the 3 led lights when they burn out?
Hasn’t cracked so far, but yes it’s no OEM plastic. Haven’t had a light burn out yet. There are two little screws on the backside of each light that holds them in. Idk if they make direct replacements as I haven’t looked, but they are removable.
@@ProjectCompleteCan you access the bulbs and replace them with the grill on the truck or do you have to remove the grill to get at them ? 🤔
Have you had to replace the led bulbs yet? If so was it difficult?
I have not had to replace the led’s yet. It would most likely have to be removed to replace the bulbs.
@@ProjectComplete I ordered replacement lights with plug and play connections from Amazon. Looks like I will have to remove the grille to gain access to the screw’s on the amber lights..
So when wiring to the parking lights does the grill light up when running on the auto lights with the headlights??
Yes, I believe so. In my truck they do anyways.
How does this grill compare to the strength and durability of the original grill?
Seems to be pretty good! I havent had any problems with it other than it doesn't fit exactly like an OEM grill. I also color matched it in another video. That's also holding up great. Check it out!
What size allen rench for the fasaner the holds the bracket at the bottom of the grill?
Same size as your IQ.
What size of wire did you used for extensión?
It was 12 gauge stranded. The wire they come with is much smaller than that. Anything larger would work. They draw very little power. It’s just what I had laying around.

What did you do with the black wire?
If I’m remembering correctly you are talking about the ground wire and screw. I already had a ground location on the passenger side in my engine bay, but any ground location should work.
Red is hot or power and black is negative or ground.
