Great to see you're on a new hike for me to follow, I love your style! I live a couple hours from Mt. Rainier and hike there several times each year and have been on parts of the Wonderland Trail but have never done the whole thing. I'm really looking forward to seeing the trail in it's entirety through your videos. Keep up the great work!

Exciting to see you on another adventure so soon. You are so fortunate to be able either not to have to work, or have a job that allows for great flexibility so you can go on so many exciting adventures and share them with us! We sure do enjoy your style of making videos! Lucky you found your sleeping pad!

Woo and hoo! Great to see you back on trail. Quite a different environment from the GET. Real water, lol. Good recovery from the sleeping mat. Adds some drama to the video, but don’t do it every day. 😂 Have a blast and keep us in the backpack so we can follow along (preferably near an air hole).

Lol, yeah, I could have done without that drama at the end of a long day. I seriously took a moment to consider abandoning it wherever it fell, but I knew that wasn't an option. And, yes, LOVING the water. People on this trail are spoiled and complaining about sections where there might be a mile without a water source.

@@susannesadventurejournal1920 Yeah, after the 5 minutes of why me, you remember hey I can solve problems like this…with some pain. Good recovery! You should send people complaining about water to the GET. The only water sources are aisle 6 at Walmart. I’m going to Yo Mama’s tomorrow, Jealous?

Yes I think the climb out of White River is just about the steepest part of the Wonderland trail. Brutal start.

That creek is the melt from Winthrop Glacier which you may had some views of, though it’s so heavily covered by rock and dirt that it looks almost like a massive dirt pile. But that’s Winthrop Glacier that you’re looking at around the 19 minute mark, and that creek is the meltwater from Winthrop glacier.

Mt Rainier is my old hiking area. Wonderland trail is one of my favs. The silt you refer to is called rock flour. It's made from glacial grinding the rock to powder. The clear streams are from snowmelt. That's how you can tell if it's a glacial stream or a snowmelt stream.

You can also access the Wonderland Trail from Fryingpan Creek TH, which is in between the White River entrance and the turn for the White River Campground. Would have saved some road miles but not sure if it would actually be shorter to WR.

I would have loved to save some of those dangerous road miles. Unfortunately, my permit specified the White River TH for entry/exit. If I had been able to snag a campsite the night before I could have avoided the walk, but sometimes you have to roll with the punches. I'm definitely driving/parking next time instead of wandering in off the PCT.

Your shirt is hoping this will be easier than the GET.
